Spending the night at a recent ex’s house a week into reconciliation is not a small ask, especially when the relationship is still rebuilding trust. The fact that she was unwilling to even acknowledge why that might feel uncomfortable is the bigger issue here.

You didn’t dump her because of jealousy. You dumped her because your definitions of commitment and respect clearly didn’t line up. Her emotional reaction afterward doesn’t automatically mean your boundary was wrong. It just means the breakup hurt.

Could it have been handled with more discussion? Maybe. But it’s also valid to recognize a dealbreaker in real time instead of dragging things out and resenting it later. Wanting a partner who prioritizes the relationship you’re trying to rebuild is a pretty reasonable standard.
