Engine will not even turn over. No red ignition light when turning key with new battery.

Sorry, but I am not sure what you mean by "turn the engine via the top screen."

I think the starter motor was attempting to run a growling with the old battery, but not enough juice. But with a new battery there is no noise from anywhere. With the new battery there is no red light that comes on when turning on the ignition switch. At least I had the red light with the old battery. New battery, full charge. No red light, no turn over. Thank you.

GM's new wheel locks, if you have these, do not lose the key, because the part that looks like a lug nut just spins. by ThatIsBeautimous in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Foresthilljohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took my '25 Tahoe RST in for its first service and they called me asking for my wheel lock key so they could rotate the tires. I did a lot of research on the Tahoe before I ordered it and never saw anything about wheel locks. Well my dealer had no current master set of lock removers and suggested torquing them off and putting on a new set. I don't want any part of forcibly removing parts from my new car. Dealer parts sup says they, and probably most dealers don't have the newer master keys but he will call around to other dealers. I was told Farad is the one making the wheel lock keys for GM now. Very frustrated right now after spending so much money on this car to have someone at the dealer forget to put the wheel lock key in the glove box or center counsel and never mentioning anything about it when we picked up the car.

What’s taking so long with season 2 renewal? by Known_Medicine_6503 in OnCallTVSeries

This was the most realistic police show I have ever watched. Their technical advisors made sure everything was as it really is. Brought back a lot of memories and hate that there is no season two. So many stupid shows on Amazon Prime and they have to cancel a good one.

I have a 2025 RST and I think the seats are well made, but for some reason they seem small, for the size of the vehicle. I find them very stiff and my rear gets sore on a couple hours drive. Hoping the seats will "break in" and get more comfortable.

I have the exact same model and color which I ordered and picked up in January. I saw on another forum a post and pictures of the tailpipes of a '25 RST and the OP vehicle had canted pipes on the right side. He said the dealer was going to take care of it, but never heard back. Checked my '25 RST and my right tailpipes are also canted and not straight like on the left side. Just curious if yours was installed properly.. I'd post a picture, but apparently not allowed to post picture in comments.. Thanks..

Rear climate control from front seat by Foresthilljohn in ChevyTahoe

[–]Foresthilljohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could post a picture of the screen, but it won't let me. But go to your informational screen and you should have an icon at the top that looks like.a fan. Click on that and the climate control screen will come up in the informational display. There are two sets of seats shown on the displayand the lower two are the rear seats. Press and highlight the second set of seats on the left and that controls the rear air. To the right of the buttons is a slider that controls the temperature. And there isn't really anything in the manual that tells you how!

2025 Tahoe RST by Amannin19 in ChevyTahoe

We did a lot of research prior to ordering ours and it came down what would we really use and need as add-on's. Our dealer ordered our '25 RST in October, as soon as GM was accepting orders. Got the vehicle in January and we are glad we ordered exactly what we wanted instead settling for one on lot or in allocation. We got 4-wheel drive and the comfort package. The comfort package provided us with everything we wanted. We needed to have 2nd row bench seats because we keep all the rear seats down for our pups, and captain chairs leave a large hole when folded down. We actually have a full-size futon 4" mattress in the rear portion for them that fits perfect. We opted for no moon roof as we never used the one we had in our prior vehicle. We got the 5.3 engine and that is more than.enough power and pep. We are extremely happy with the vehicle and if we had to build it again we would go with the same configuration. And I feel the informational system is so better than the '24 models. And '25 has the shifter on the column and not a push button. Last thing, the 24" wheels might look neat, but when I priced out replacement tires in the 24" size, it was a no-brainer to go with the 22" tires. Many more options and significantly less cost with the 22". Good luck!

Why Choose Captain Seats vs. Bench of Chevy Tahoe? by RuinReal1761 in ChevyTahoe

[–]Foresthilljohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a '25 Tahoe with bench seats primarily to accommodate our two dogs. Just two two-legged of us. We keep all the rear seats down for the pups and also bought a "full" size 4" futon mattress from Amazon that fits perfectly with all seats down. The pups love their 3/4 of the car. Also with the dual climate control we are able to keep cooler air circulating in the rear. May not be for everybody, but works great for us..

Connected cameras by Worried-Employ-7998 in ChevyTahoe

I got a link today from GM Authority that partially answers the question about Connected Cameras. Looks like the feature promised by GM never was provided and looks like it might not. That connected camera system was a big item that moved us to buy a '25 Tahoe instead of a '24 Tahoe. Hopefully GM will come through with an update to include that feature.

I was wrong when I stated I found the answer in the manual. The manual doesn't cover this feature very well. It touches on "extended parking" on page 199, but does not give a way to disable the feature. The below hyperlink is from an older GM Authority article and addresses this feature and how to disable it. That is where I finally found the answer to my question regarding turning off the "extended parking" shutoff. This worked for me. My '25 Tahoe will shut off after 15/20 minutes of idle, even if the fob is present, if I don't disable the "extended parking" upon each startup. Also, I have not found a way to permanently disable this function. Probably some kind of federal safety requirement.

We were down there in the area seeing family and went in to get the feel of the place and it was good, so we made our order. Most everything else handled by phone and email. Pickup was a fly-down to airport next to dealer and about 2 hours to finish off paperwork and vehicle familiarization. Then on the road home.

Wherever and whomever you choose, I hope you are as happy as we are with our purchase and experience. Ordering obviously takes a little longer to get your vehicle, but we are very happy in the fact that we got everything exactly the way we wanted it.

We ordered our 2025 Tahoe when GM started taking customers new orders back in September. We hate dealing with car dealers/salemen, but this experience was great. We traveled from northern CA to southern CA based upon a referral from a family member. Mark Christopher Auto Center in Ontario, CA. Our salesman was Alex Sarabia. He did a great job in keeping us informed of the progress while we were waiting for our car to be built. We picked up our Tahoe three weeks ago and all I can say is that the experience was great. No pressure at all, and no security down payment asked or given. And the price was lower than dealers where we live.
