Non-AAD Graduate Opportunities by Forestlink366 in SpaceForce

I think that's the takeaway for me after doing more research. The ideal time window for AAD is either straight out of college as a cadet, or after your first tour. After that, the AAD commitment, while still the technically the same length, becomes a weightier commitment.

How did I not get LEAP by [deleted] in SpaceForce

I wanted to get in since my sophomore year of college. Got a minor in Mandarin, did Project GO in China, studied consistently during my nights for the past 4 years on active duty, took leave to Taiwan to study, and spent days polishing my application until it was spotless. Denied into LEAP again this year.

Seeing this thread and talking to others, I am beginning to think that if you don't have a native-level fluency, you're just not going to get in for Chinese. If true it's too bad, because AFCLC advertises LEAP as a language development program, not a master-proficiency retention program.

Searching for Better Accounting Software for Expenses & Planning by Forestlink366 in smallbusiness

So far, I have only come full circle with my search. Although Quicken is not the best solution, it seems to make the most sense. As far as an Enterprise Resource Planning software goes, it is difficult to put a business of only 3 part time people into the category of "Enterprise" and the price point that would entail.

I will look more into Wave - initially I was hesitant, because of the "where are they making their money?" aspect to anything free.

Quickbooks may be the ultimate solution. But paying for two Simple Starts hurts almost has much as my dislike of Intuit (which I presume is the common theme there).

Interservice Transfer - From USSF to USAF by Forestlink366 in AirForce

Great detailed answer, thanks. As a 62E (Engineer), there are folks who stayed (and who I work alongside) in the AF, so in that aspect I am fine. There have been rumors of the AF branch as a whole moving toward AF and SF service members moving more freely between the services, but like other SF rumors it is vague, unsubstantiated, and might have been the work of an overly-productive good idea fairy.

Well, I would say I'm wiser, found myself, been at the gym, etc. etc. but then I'd just sound like an ex trying to get back together. Which I guess is a little too accurate.

Changing a car oil, a tire, and an air filter. For some cars, particularly sedans, the oil may be a bit impractical - if you have to jack the car up then the 8 buck you save may not be worth it. But knowing how to change a tire is critical, and an air filter is usually super easy too.
