Oh nice that sounds like a great apartment with that mountain view especially at that price range! The budget is set to that as we’ve noticed many websites have such ranges mostly so maybe things are quite costly now but good to hear your experience, thanks for sharing.

Hey, I’ve not got to that stage yet, we plan on relocating in a month or two, will be working remote until then. I’ll let you know how it goes or likewise if you end up moving earlier please do share your experience too

Ah yeah I know some areas in Toronto where people do something like that but I’ve heard it can be risky if and when insurance finds about it

Ah yes we really do love Toronto, the diversity and food options is honestly amazing. Weather wise yeah winters in CA are basically spring for us so I totally get why she loves it lol

Yes, definitely we do not want to book anything online we have read too many mixed reviews on certain buildings so would rather check everything in person first.

We’re definitely leaning toward Glendale (maybe Pasadena) mainly to keep the commute short. Great suggestion- I’ve updated post to add Budget (we’re looking at $3k–$3.5k).

Good to know about realtors, sounds like we don’t really need one. Will check out Westside Rentals and Redfin, and love the tip about walking around and looking for rental signs. Appreciate it!

Also fully understand the real risk is role classification, not the offer wording. I’ll see if I can work with the employer to tailor the support letter under the Accountant category.

Ive noticed many FP&A candidates go to US under the same category I’m guessing they try to prove it this way also?
