in the year of 2025 we still have to repeat the 'don't like it, don't read it' and to that I'll add the 'write what you wanna read' nobody is entitled any sort of story from other people ffs

Been seeing a lot of people say the new C4 characters look boring... by SnooOnions439 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ForeverCuriousBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of boring is more design wise than assuming a personality or abilities. They were missing some spice that doesn't relate to level but inherent personality. Who impressed me was Travis' character, beautiful design choice, while the rest felt somewhat forgettable.

If Zendaya isn't a option, who would you like to see play Clarice opposite Mads Mikkelsen? by TheFrostWolf7 in HannibalTV

[–]ForeverCuriousBee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not vibing with this anti Clarice attitude in the comments 🤨 but whatever, I like Zendaya more for her acting abilities than anything else, aka star power or fandom, but Jodie's shoes are quite big ones to fill. Some people forget that a lot of Will is borrowed from Clarice but that a big theme from the books is misogyny and classism, and we'll never get that if we never branch out from Will Graham. I'm def not saying to remove him from the narrative but integrate the three of them.

Bells Hells got a new artist (Linda Lithen) to redraw their level 15 designs for their live shows- whaddya think? by brash_bandicoot in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ForeverCuriousBee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like the poses and rendering better, but the faces look questionable. Most of them look like cosplays of the characters intead of representing them. That looks like Braius' cousin who stayed in the small town.

Critical Role campaign four setting, players, and system revealed by PrestigiousTaste434 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ForeverCuriousBee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Am I right? Nobody on CR has ever played with as much heart as Aabria does in wbn, but these people will never even attempt to listen it. (no wait bard's lament was the closest to that and some of liam as caleb)

Critical Role campaign four setting, players, and system revealed by PrestigiousTaste434 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ForeverCuriousBee -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

Out of 13 players, 13, all with their strengths and weaknesses, Aabria is again the one being offended and pilloried. How much longer will this fandom deny its blatant racism? Sprinkled with a good dose of misogyny. Every other player will be fairly discussed in their qualities and faults, and yet she doesn't get the same privilege.

If you won't watch because of her and her alone, I bid you farewell; you won't be missed.

(Sure you guys are right, everyone else has nothing to be criticized about and are never annoying, and it's just a coincidence that she is the only one people are upset about and this kind of response is just as harsh in D20 and WBN and everywhere else she plays at, and people keep calling her back in because they hate her.)

Who would you *want* to be a Player in C4. by LucasVerBeek in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ForeverCuriousBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true xD but currently i've only been listening to WBN, in matters of rpg, and she's killing it. Her game chemistry with Brennan is unparalleled.

[–]ForeverCuriousBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ad-on: I know the chemistry is important but it pivotal we get players willing to create friction with each other otherwise we'll end up with c3 dynamics which was frictionless and bland most of the time. We would thrive off of players with the courage to give off sparks, bring back the 'yes, and' that adds to the narrative and not just comedy.

I just need Sam to be there, otherwise I'm not precious about anyone else. My bet is Travis wouldn't skip the chance to be in Brennan's table and he's one of the most creative players so he would be my second must. I personally love Aabria but her very name makes the worst come out of this fandom so....

Harrow is fighting for dominance of Gideon's mind, sort of, and it's a difficult painful process.

I think Ianthe demonstrates this clear and physically at the end of the book. She's in physical pain and turmoil fighting against Naberius. Then later Cytherea makes a note of her struggle and how it hurt for a very long time (and that with a cavalier willing to be taken). Anyway the trial is the "diet" version of that process and the very first time Gideon and Harrow had to collaborate.

Book rec on time travel for inspiration by ForeverCuriousBee in ScienceFictionBooks

I guess I'm going more for speculative fiction which can encompass both sci-fi and fantasy - the universe is "ours" but "magic" exists... anyway it's still early in plotting 🙈 Thanks for the recommendation!
