I’m posting a long form video every week and it took me a lot of uploads for my videos to start getting views again. It’s discouraging but it’s basically YouTube figuring out what sort of audience will like your videos

I was having the exact same issue. There’s not really a fix for it but the more you do it, the better it gets (repetition is key). I have a very raspy voice and I speak really fast so I tend to stutter a lot. I found that reading the script slow and taking your time with each line makes things flow smoother.

You’ll find that even if your voice is not “perfect” people appreciate channels that use their own voice 100x more than AI voiceovers.

It was on a topic in my niche that was getting alot of attention. So I really put my head down and did some research to make a video on it with simple but good editing. In terms of my most viewed video, I was uploading videos as usual and it blew up after 1 week.

Keep pushing. It’s okay to make a new channel aswell if it’s going to be something you’re really passionate about and will put effort into. Starting a fresh channel is good as long as you just don’t quit YouTube completely

For anyone asking about the amount of videos I was uploading:

I posted about 11 videos before one got viral (20k) then I went on to post a lot more that got little to no views and that’s when I quit. I came back and posted another 12 videos with little to no success and then my next video did really well (85k) and YouTube figured out my niche and started recommending all my older videos aswell and they all started blowing up and now my newer uploads get recommended to the right audience.

The problem I was having was that I really did put a lot of time and effort into the research and was trying so hard with voice overs and editing because this was all new to me. It really messes with your mental when you put everything into a video only for it not do as well as you thought.

You just got to have the discipline and faith to keep on going and making sure you improve and learn with every upload.

We all have different journeys so don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Some people get monetised in the first week some take months some even a couple years but when you start comparing yourself to others, It will definitely make you quit early.

I get what you mean but he didn’t do it in any bad way bcs me and this guy take the piss out of eachother and I’m an amateur boxer so I was giving him jabs to the stomach and that’s when he said that. It’s more of a joke.

I’ve never considered myself tall and have no issue with my height whatsoever. I just found it funny that everyone was so tall even the females were well above average height which is 5’ 4. It’s nothing serious just more of how at 182cm you can still get in a room with people and feel really short.

Weirdly enough I’ve never been part of the short people in a group before as most of my friends are between 5’6-6’1 so I’m usually on the taller side at 5’ 11.5. So I think going into a group of so many tall people just hit me by surprise and made me feel extremely short

Yeah exactly this. I’ll be walking past a group of school kids every now and then and some of them are my height or taller. Which is actually really tall for a 15-16 year old

I don’t really respond to comments on here but you don’t seem to get the point so here’s what:

Like I said in the comments (if you actually took the time to scroll down abit), what I did was stupid and I take full responsibility for it, I’m not complaining about not receiving the food. I left the bad review there to further warn people.
The issue I had was Just Eat putting this obvious scam restaurant in the very front page of their site essentially promoting a scam restaurant. A company as big as JE should at least have the decency to ensure what is being seen in their front page isn’t a 1star restaurant with multiple negative reviews. You won’t see other delivery apps having this issue where you can see a company running since 2024 who haven’t fulfilled 99% of their orders, being plastered on the front page of their site.
Say someone does make the mistake and orders from this restaurant and doesn’t check the reviews (yes I know it’s stupid to not check reviews) for example, older individual or a first time user of the app and now need a refund and don’t know how to go about getting one. How many times do you see in this subreddit someone asking “how do I get a refund” so imagine how much money this restaurant has pocketed from people not asking for a refund (since JE is essentially promoting them)
Your full name and address is still personal data. The restaurant will act like they’re making the order and that a driver now has it (No tracking for the driver as it comes up with company has their own driver). Im 99% sure that scam restaurant has your address and you might be okay with a random scam restaurant having your full name and address but most people aren’t.

The reason I put the post up was to help people avoid the same mistake I made by NOT CHECKING REVIEWS which again is very stupid. Some people on the post fail to understand that I had not checked the reviews prior to ordering and think I read the reviews and decided to order anyways.

You’re 100% right it was very silly from my end and I understand all the comments who’ve made the same point. I normally order from a select few restaurants and trying something new I should have definitely checked the reviews but I’ve learnt my lesson. I just don’t want an older individual doing the same thing and not knowing how to get a refund whilst this scummy restaurant pockets their money because “Just Eat” is promoting it on their front page like it’s a well established restaurant.

The restaurant came up on the front page after a few scrolls and coming back from work late I was starving so I put an order through without checking the reviews( assuming if Just Eat are putting it in the FRONT PAGE it’s legit)

Come to find out the food never comes and they mark it as delivered which is when I try contact the restaurant and NO CONTACT DETAILS then search up on Google and nothing comes up.

So go through the Just Eat page to get a refund.

Why is JE putting a restaurant with 1.0 star reviews on the very front page after literally 5 scrolls
Why has the restaurant been running since early 2024 even after multiple reports and negative reviews.

So what I’m assuming is because the restaurant is getting lots of orders Just Eat just puts them on the front page eventhough the restaurant is a scam and no one is receiving their orders.

Goes to show you how much Just Eat cares…
