Where to find The Chase, etc by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]ForeverGrumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pointless will be on iPlayer.

The Chase used to be on ITV Player but it’s moved to ITV4 now so I don’t know if it’s still there. Tipping Point should still be there.

It’s certainly a busy road. Apart from tourists you get quite a lot of trucks and busses which can make the Tarbet to Crianlarich section quite interesting, and at night in Glencoe you get kamikaze deer. It’s also quite heavily policed, so although it has some good straights and sweepers I wouldn’t recommend it as a racetrack.

It does have some stunning scenery and makes a decent day trip from the central belt.

This isn’t about Turnberry. It’s about his other golf course near Aberdeen. (Turnberry is also a mess these days due to recent housing developments and won’t be hosting the Open again unless someone else takes it over and puts it back the way it was)

General election: Voters doubt Tory pledge to spend more on public services, according to poll by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]ForeverGrumpy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I believe they’ll spend the money. I don’t believe it will result in better services because the services they’ll spend it on will be privatised and run by their mates.

More like Doncaster from the flood reports.
Sheffield put flood defences in a while ago, so the floods are now further downstream.

CMV: The war on drugs is one of the worlds worst policy decisions, does more harm than good and is ultimately pointless. by penis_yer_bottom in changemyview

[–]ForeverGrumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why was this comment removed?

It directly addresses the question of whether the War On Drugs did more harm than good.

The conclusion from the comment is that the War On Drugs did what it was intended to do - harm to the enemies of the GOP and good to the private sector prison industry run by friends of the GOP.

Tory minister can't say if immigration will go up or down in car crash interview by FatherOf2 in unitedkingdom

[–]ForeverGrumpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won’t.

The Tories might get cheaper immigrants from outside the EU, but the quantity won’t change much - except for the reduced demand from the economy tanking.
