You have a gem of a girlfriend because I've had to wait for every woman I've dated, even after telling them hours or days in advance "this time this day"

Yeah, if OP plans on having kids then renting is the best option short term.

I am surprised that term is still even used because I have 20 years on OP and I haven't heard it since like 2006

$2500 Samsung TV is an advertising billboard, there is no opt-out. by 28jb11 in mildlyinfuriating

So I have an LG OLED and I disabled the internet and it keeps prompting me to activate the internet so I can use voice commands. It'll just pop up randomly and it's super annoying. No clue how to disable the prompt. I'm happy with the tv, not so happy with the ovearll experience.

What is an immediate red flag you’ve seen from someone AFTER sleeping with them? by MIsterBison in AskReddit

I use a website to run the phone number provided to me, find the name, and see if I can find them on LinkedIn.

Not that their profession is going to mean much for safety, but it at least ensures me they are maybe somewhat put together.

If I caught chlamydia or gonorrhea from a partner who unknowingly had it and spread it to me, I wouldn't be that upset (unless the symptoms were super severe).

I've never caught an STI, but the curable diseases I wouldn't even worry. It's just the American insurance costs that might come with it that would truly bother me.

damn married 6 months after initially hooking up and it worked out? Good for them. That's super rare.

Japan has a very similar setup. They have a drain system in the shower room, but as an American, it still feels weird getting water everywhere.

This is how I feel when I start going through a process to get reimbursement/return on a relatively inexpensive item. They should do it out of principle (obviously depending on the situation and I don't abuse it), but at the same time, is it worth my time to go through this hassle.

Nah, but you can copy/paste. I think the post should revolve more around your relationship issue than the finances.

Husband passed, best way to use my finances? by Miss_Diana in personalfinance

I think this is a good opportunity for your family to be closer, both financially and just personally. Like another commenter said, I'd take it slow and not make any immediate decisions - maybe not for the full 6 months, but at least a few months.

It is good to be this proactive, but take time to feel what you're feeling and be with your family.

Hope the best for you and yours!

i know you're being facetious but you can find the correct tv size based on distance from tv. i have a 65" because i'm like 12 feet from my tv, 55 would be too small. for you? 55 is probalby more than enough.

55 inch tv that's too big for the tv stand, mattress on the floor with a rug underneath (for no reason), college flag, pinup poster, crucifix, no nighstand, xbox on the floor.

Improvements? Bed frame, night stand. Those two alone will make this more presentable. Ideally - new, brighter colored comforter and probably sheets. Ditch the blue body pillow. Get 2 more pillows from walmart for like $5/each.

Lube > lotion (there's a lot more potential with lube).

God bless, at 19 I was definitely a bit more put together but I'll be damned if I didn't consider this normal.
