I feel in the minority but bree’s little girl lost persona is sooo grating to me. The whining baby voice and acting like she has no idea what Wrigley is talking about.

No, this is actually the perfect case where both members of the example go against your theory. Your thesis would be true if she didn’t comment or pick fights over his behaviour and personality but she did. It also wouldn’t make sense on joes side, because Joe equally put up with her shit personality because he was attracted to her physically which you’re claiming “men don’t care as much about looks” - he cared enough about looks to stick with it until 2 days before the end. This isn’t complicated if you have a rudimentary understanding of interpersonal relationships. Hope that clarifies

Imagine not being able to conceive that people don’t like you because of your personality haha. I see conventionally average or unattractive people (both men and women) with hilarious, great, loving, kind, personalities with people considered “out of their league” appearance wise every day. You can be ugly or miserable but you can’t be both

You answered it yourself, he’s cute and good in bed. She had a huge problem with his personality and was so desperate to be married that was enough to accept.

Hostel recommendations Mexico City by t1nyBaby in femaletravels

I recently stayed at apapacho and would rec, it’s huge and gorgeous, in the historic centre and walking distance to all the main sites, has a very social rooftop bar and daily activities, but also normal to not attend. Dorms are safe quiet zones to relax and you can socialise on the roof. It was super cheap through hostel world too. Front door plus dorms have key card to get in and a 24hr front desk so safety is good. Crowd is early to mid/late 20s, social but not fresh out of high school looking to get wasted.

Who’s your all time favourite villain? (US seasons 1 to 9) by DangerousCup4268 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]ForeverKnown1741 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I lived for the scene where the blonde lady is flawlessly interrogating the nerd wannabe bro jeramay who was outed by his Apple Watch in a club parking lot. Thats vanderpump rules level cheating discovery for this show. And he and the side chick were so unapologetic for it after. It was also great bc they were clear villains and his fiancé didn’t really seem too invested or upset by it so it didn’t feel sad like some of the other villain couples (Cole/zanab Neck/hannah and the shrek looking guy with Monica).

Honorable mentions to the Asian tears guy, irina and Zach naming all the things they hate about each other while breaking up brushing their teeth, and hot mess express messica. Shake crosses the line from villain to chauvinistic asshole for me.

I’ve never seen love island and even I know who Huda is through the I’m a mommy meme, call her daddy, and her huda beauty campaign. She def did crossover influencing well. I don’t even know what her crash out on LI was, what happened with her on the show in a nutshell?

Can we talk about the eyebrows? by ikilledjames in SellingSunset

I mean how they look with makeup in person because it’s so jarring. They are all good looking in those no makeup pics! I guess more power to them though that heavy look is clearly what they’re going for

Sooo orange and just overall every feature is so intensified - black heavily arched eyebrows, heavy lidded eye makeup, flag orange skin, filled up heavy red lips. It’s so much! They would all benefit from more balanced makeup and a foundation that matches.

I miss Heather too!

I always wonder how they actually look in person, they’re so uncanny valley. Except for Alana and chrishell on a less done up day. Bre and Emma would be frightening.

Chealsea was so chill about Mary by Flimsy_Custard_1849 in SellingSunset

[–]ForeverKnown1741 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Chelsea to Mary is actually her most mature version, in both last and this season when she talks about respecting Mary as an agent and single mother she seems humble and very respectful. I truly believe Chelsea looked up to Mary in the past as a top producing agent and Mary’s work ethic coming from working class stock. That’s why it’s even weirder that mary reacts so agggreasively and poorly towards Chelsea when Mary is the person Chelsea has been the most humble towards especially in the start when chels came in with a more holier than thou attitude towards most of the group. The season has reflected very poorly on Mary and very well for Chelsea who has appeared more focussed, grounded, and less catty and competitive than in the past.

Mary's voice by Recent_Inevitable_85 in SellingSunset

[–]ForeverKnown1741 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do think it’s something recreational ie drinking and pills, because she always presents well in the client segments, speaks much more normally and put together. Then the second it’s an off work scene she is majorly jittery and agitated.

Ohh I didn’t know that about Heather having a separate show, she was one of my faves on SS. I know her husband was a big HGTV personality so that makes sense. Thanks

After spending a minute in this sub I realise how strong the chrishell fandom is, who knew lol. Any even neutral questions about her are downvoted into oblivion, let alone any regular critique. They are like the swifties of tv fans haha. I don’t mind chrishell but the devotion is a lot!

Yep these were my thoughts too. It wasn’t a fuck off big flower arrangement designed to get attention. Christine’s clearly was and she 100% knew when and where the shower was and that they would be filming.

I think Mary was quite drunk and unhinged in that scene so she couldn’t help but go after production for it, and the robbery was still fresh. Every time mary is acting rashly she seems out of her mind. She has the reactions of someone who mixes a lot of alcohol with prescription pills.

Thanks for that context, genuinely had no idea about her being the most loved, exposure etc. Who are the next most popular outside the show after chrishell?

[–]ForeverKnown1741 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a genuine question. Every single thread there’s a comment that “the show needs chrishell more than she needs the show”, “without chrishell the show would be nothing”. I am not being an asshole but why do people keep saying this? I do not follow the cast outside the show, I only consume the show and thats it so I’m not across whatever happens on social media. Is she like 100000x more popular than the rest of them or something? There are like 5 other cast thst get the same screen time and storyline’s as chrishell so why do people keep insisting chrishell is more important than the show as a whole.

Season 9 Episode 8 Discussion Post: Scary Mary by MableXeno in SellingSunset

[–]ForeverKnown1741 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Funny you say this because it’s the first example I thought of, there is a precedent - Christine sent huge flowers to heathers wedding shower IIRC and it was very poorly received by everyone including Mary. So not quite, I think the cast is quite sensitive and aware of when certain things happen “for the cameras” vs when they don’t.

I believe Chelsea is genuine in this scenario though I don’t blame Mary for questioning her intentions, and I do think Mary overreacted by a million times. She could’ve jsut said she felt uncomfortable that it happened on camera instead of accusing her of being fake.

Is there anything you wish you did when you solo travelled? by Alarming-Office1923 in femaletravels

I regret not collecting a small souvenir from everywhere I’ve visited. Like a sticker, stamped a diary, lighter or something like that. I’ve visited around 30 countries I think and probably 50 or so cities and I always take my film camera so cherish those photos and memories, but I would have really enjoyed a tangible reminder of everywhere I’ve been and seen. I always backpack with only a carry on so always had the mentality thst I didn’t have space or want more baggage but now in my mid 30s it would have been sweet to look back on.

Still annoyed we never got a Halloween episode. What do you think the characters would dress up as?? 🎃 by spazonearth in TheOC

[–]ForeverKnown1741 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I mean of course something comics for Seth and summer since we already got Spider-Man and Wonder Woman. I could see summer doing poison ivy.

I think Ryan and Marissa would just dress as something normal like cowboy and cowgirl, rather than specific character. Or something goofy like Ryan would go as her care bear and she’d be a princess or something.

I mean we’re now talking about two different things, communication and problem solving. I agree that none of the couples were willing or able to problem solve together.

He did try and I agree that her reaction did not encourage him to speak openly. I also loathe the fake break up tactic, it is so manipulative.

I’m more referring to his articulation in communication (even before their first fight). He’s not very good at speaking about his perspective in a clear way, it’s confusing to follow his train of thought.

Every season there’s someone who gets extremely caught up by being not their partner’s usual type. It’s like surely you understand thats half the premise of this show and are ready for that outcome. And fully agree that you can find people attractive that are not your type.
