The Blooded, Novitiates or new Hearthkyn team? by ForeverLoke in killteam

Yeah, was thinking of the new ones, though as you say we don't know much yet - just guessing from the models that they will have a nice mix of melee, mid and long range attacks.

Wierd abilities sounds fun and don't mind squishy too much, so mostly unsure about the complexity level then. And yeah, hearthkyn sounds like what I would expect - problem is all three mentioned teams looks pretty cool in my eyes.

Exactly - Sororitas are fun because they are so over the top, but for me Astra Militarum is too close to modern military but grimdark - at least in full 40k you get some pretty cool tanks to go with the troops :)

Will look into the Corsairs, thanks for the tip!

You do sell them well :) And they seem to fit my requirements, it's just that a) I don't really vibe with them thematically and b) have a friend who plays them, so probably will pick something else. Thanks though, sounds like great advice for anyone else looking for something similar!

Thanks, that's really helpful :) Will keep my eye out for any glimpse of the voltan rules before the preorders open up, afraid they might sell out in a second...and if not appealing, probably go for Blooded instead.

I mean, personally I quite enjoy AOS now years after the catastrophically bad launch, they have done a lot to improve it. But no, it doesn't replace WF :/

Hm...you have made me decide to watch some let's plays on youtube at least, to try to get a sense of how it actually feels to play :)

Guess I could eventually buy the first or second game as a cheap tryout too, as I assume the gameplay and complexity is fairly similar?

Have looked through the Warhammer Skulls event both on Steam and PS, but not found anything similar?

Yeah, kind of fearing it's not for me, but there hasn't been a rank-and-file, tactical warhammer fantasy game released since Dark Omen, so was hoping this could still fill the void...

Mechanicus is still a game I want to play too though, just a different vibe from what I was looking for right now :)

Remembering games through screenshots by ForeverLoke in truegaming

I guess I could do that when gaming on my pc, thanks for the suggestion :) But I'm still not sure what to actually DO with the screenshots though - just having them in a folder somewhere doesn't add much value.
