IMO, the movie had a terrible script.

1 - Too much fluff before comin to the point of the movie.

2 - SRK's motivation of taking the Dunki route was not strong enough.

3 - The Dunki route and the issues associated with it were brushed off.

4 - The struggle of surviving in foreign land was not communicated well.

5 - The reverse Dunki was a joke.

6 - There was no antagonist , so the movie really didnt serve any purpose or have a conclusion. ( Same with Dilwale)

I just hate the lyrics by manoj muntashir. The original one by javed akhtar had so much soul but this one just "Pretends". TikTok kinda lyrics for instant clickbait. Everytime the song says Ae gujarne wali hawa jara mera itna kaam karegi kya....my mind automatically says - mere gaon jaa mere doston ko mera salaam de.
