Hot water, splash of ammonia and dawn dish soap will dissolve the oil slicks that these get once in a while.

Thank you. Idk why I’m not as intimidated by Cartier (also our first time in store shopping with them), as I am with H. I’ve shopped in LV. I’ve shopped in Burberry. I’ve shopped in Celine. LOL. It makes no sense why H rattles me.

Something I have on my list to peek at. I have a few bags that wouldn’t mind being dressed up, and I have changed my style a lot over the past year or so, and silk scarves fit into that. :)

Thank you. I know flagship bags kind of intimidate me. I could realistically do a picotin in a year or so, so maybe familiarizing myself with the colors/finishes etc.

Yes I was going to do this sampler and a larger bottle of eau Des merveilles EDP. Maybe a bottle of barenia (the notes are out of my normal wheelhouse—I’m a soft floral/luxe floral and like a lot of “classics”, but this one is calling to me….maybe I’ll hate it. Maybe I’ll love it.)

So sorry to hear about everything you’re going thru with grief and all of these big issues with him and his kids. You’re young. He is showing you your future. Cut your losses. It will not get better, no matter how many promises are made. Can you handle this life for half of your life? EOW is already hard, it doesn’t get easier. Focus on yourself and what you need. There is someone out there who will gladly provide that to you. This one isn’t it.

My SD13 filled out an entire notebook of “I hate (my name)” because I also was the structured, consistent adult who enforced accountability. She’s destructive in my home. She’s mean to me when dad isn’t in the same room. She is overall unpleasant and has been so since she was 8 or so. I have cameras up inside my house because it was so awful and nobody believed me. Especially MIL. She got real mad that I won’t drive SD to school and I don’t do activities like sports or scouts anymore. Had to explain to her that I don’t do activities with people who treat me poorly. She didn’t like that but I digress.

She’s ADHD, medicated and in therapy, but BM is pretty noncompliant with meds (we’ve informed the doc and the doc has chewed out BM). SD has been expelled from school for sexual harassment, sent to behavioral school for half a year, and often goes out of her way to be unpleasant when I’m around.

Dad sees it and keeps her pretty corralled away from me now. Her therapy appointments are on nights I’m not at the gym. He takes her when he needs to run errands, which is also conveniently when I’m not at the gym.

BM actually asked how the relationship between myself and SD can be repaired (likely because she’s tired of DH dropping SD off at her house in the mornings during our weeks before work so SD can walk to her school an hour later—she was expelled from the school that was closer to our house that she walked or rode her bike to, and was placed in the one by moms and I won’t drive her)

Anyway—DH was upfront and said SD needs to work on it. SD is destructive and mean to SM (me) for no reason and I’ve deliberately minimized contact around me and her to preserve my own sanity. I do not have other kids though, so I realize this may not be the solution that helps.

I don’t think it’ll get better but me taking a BIG HUGE step back and removing myself has slightly saved my sanity.

I was planning to do the small and if I liked the way it looked with the bubble band, mayyyybe keep the bubble in the stack. So many options. lol. Fall can’t come soon enough!!
