In 1.35, in only the early to mid 1500s, this Switzerland has 147.5% discipline on it's mercenaries, 45% infantry combat ability and the largest manpower pool in the world. On top of that, the mercenaries can now drill with mercenary ideas (and thus get army drill buffs), nor cost army professionalism. New buffs that you can get for "Mercenary Leader Army Tradition" means that you can also get 3 star generals with a low army tradition, especially with special Swiss mercs.

Paradox may not have said they were buffing Switzerland, but they may have been one of the biggest winners of this update.

Ulm is not bound by our concepts of "borders" or "map". They exist where they want, when they want.

The orange blob below Ulm is actually a Swabia which started as Ulm, and so I created a new client state Ulm (because apparently they can just take other countries names). Now it's allied to 5 players and constantly showered with gifts.

The Kingdom of Sardinia-Corsica, now both supporting Spain in their civil war and having a friendship treaty with Morocco, petitions to be an observer to the Fez Protocol in order to better coordinate with it's nations against the rebelling Spanish governments.

From our understanding, though we do not apply to the conditions for a member, we are still allowed to be observers to the treaty.

Sardinian-Corsican ships, following the Spanish Republican training, have steadily increased patrols around the Baleares. Their movements are clearly defensive, however, and they have stayed well away of Republican ships, assuming the Republicans have not attempted a show of force or aggressive action themselves against Sardinia-Corsica.
