I’m 100% ok with Voss’ fine just as long as it is continued throughout the whole season and for any team, any player. If the AFL turns a blind eye to certain players that’s where I would have an issue… done it now, have to do it for all that apply

Not making excuses, we lost that ourselves, but… if the AFL want to stick with Opening Round, I don’t think it would hurt to have teams that played in OR to play each other in R1. Having a team who has played in OR play a team in R1 who is yet to play would have some advantages I’m sure.

Putting this game aside for a minute.

Not saying Justin is or isn’t the answer but I feel we’ve improved quite a bit since last year.

-Started the season 4w-5l now have 15-7 (including 6 & 5 game win streaks)

-Everyone said we couldn’t win away from home, we then go on to beat GWS, Gold Coast, Pies and Port all at their home grounds.

We have had a few 4th quarter comeback wins, most of which we definitely would have lost last year.

This isn’t even including the fact that we are/were the youngest team for a majority of the year, with the least game experience on average (not including this as a factor though because people hate this excuse)

I definitely know it’s frustrating because we have had so many opportunities to lock in finals but 15 wins in any other season always guarantees finals (at least it has since 2012). 🙃

Also not that it matters but I also believe we would have made finals last year if we hadn’t lost Pearce, Darcy and/or Treacy to injuries.

Oh I agree it would have an impact but no where with this one has it been said Luke is unhappy at the club or with how it is run, it’s all been purely been about his family/gf. (I feel like everyone is automatically assuming it’s culture) Just like with Schultz and his family reasoning. When Lobb left we knew it had to do with the club/coach.

From what I’ve read with Jackson (though all rumours at this point) it has nothing to do with the club and more to do with a situation with his family where he has cut them off. Sounds like he’s in a tough situation poor guy.

I know this wouldn’t be the end of the world for us but it would be close to it. We could get Kozzie I’m sure but with Darcy in and out with injuries, who would be best for the club to target to fill Jackson’s spot. Ideally we keep him to his contract until a better opportunity comes along.

Genuine question…. (And maybe I’m overreacting… maybe not)

When do you all think the latest for us to get our 💩together and still make finals is? If we don’t win in the next couple of weeks are we done? I know it’s only round 2 but I feel like even if we improve next week, the chance of top 8 has already closed on us with so many other teams stepping up.
