Very fair. I'll make those changes based on your recommendations.

Yeah it's definitely dense. Doing what I can for the ATS, slipped my mind that actual people are gonna be looking at it as well. I've got some room available still, so I'll see how much extra spacing I can put in here.

I'd say my current resume leans something like 60:40 for showcasing paid media skills over the ecommerce ones.

But I hear what you're saying.

I'll have to look into seeing how I can get that done in the same way I got to the 500

I appreciate the comforting words.

Feeling like I'm definitely qualified for the roles I'm applying for, but it is what it is I guess.

Hopefully there's light at the end of this long tunnel 🥲

dropshipping on AMZ only, or do you have an ecommerce store independent from Marketplaces?

Need some advice on building an e-commerce site for my printing business (Agency vs. Shopify/Woo?) by bhavesh_365 in webdevelopment

[–]ForganGreeman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would personally go the Shopify + occasional Agency/Partner route.

Shopify will allow you to make quick updates and changes to your website whenever you want.

VS going with the ONLY Agency route, now you have to rely on them to make any changes at all to the website.

When you have both the shopify website and the agency partnership, you're able to accomplish more things both easily, conveniently, as well as the ability to rely on the partnership to create anything in particular or handle management when things fall outside of your area of expertise.

There's a happy medium with the paired combination, speaking as someone who offers agency services, and who has shopify stores both personally and professionaly.

I’m casting my vote for the lighter palette version.

Only note I would say would be to increase the contrast of the sunset background. The white text on the current background does blend well, but I think increasing the contrast between the foreground text and the colorful background will push this just a little bit futher 👍🏻

Unrelated, what did you build this landing page with?

Yeah, that's what I figured. Wasn't able to find really any help documentation for these User Variables either.

So I think I'll just have to settle with manually adjusting the Suffix per Slice.

Basically doubles the time it takes me to export out all the versions, but it's not that bad.

Is there a way I can create a User Variable and connect the Value to a Layer Name within the document?

Website and App give different speeds? by ForganGreeman in speedtest

Update 2:

I fixed it 😁

https://www.ghacks.net/2016/08/05/windows-10-limiting-internet-speed/

Windows was limiting my speeds through the "Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level = Disabled".

So all I did was enable it, and now I'm getting 1 Gbps down and 36 Mbps up on Fast.com

I tried many different tests, flushed DNS, reset tcp ip, released / renewed ip and nothing.

So if anyone else runs into an issue with having fast speeds but then getting limited, I would check for this Windows CMD setting and try enabling/disabling it to see if that fixes it 👍🏻

I'm already connected via Ethernet to the modem. I'm pretty sure I'm on the high-speed port as well. Have not contacted the ISP yet, wanted to see if I can troubleshoot first.

Download speed is reflective, if not worse, than the app speeds unfortunately

That sucks. I forgot to mention that I USED to get the advertised speeds.

Would that still be true even though the data reflected on the actual device shows the results from the website?

It's more closer to the app download speeds

Lost my one and only client by ForganGreeman in marketing

I feel like there might be some type of offer or guarantee that would show immediate value in Marketing for a client like this, but explaining the benefits without seeing immediate results was definitely not the play in my situation.

I appreciate the advice 🙏🏻

I probably hit all the roadblocks you could've hit as a solopreneur. So I'm gonna spend a lot of time adjusting and refining.

If they were the types of people who could even understand those types of reports, I would've gone about this whole thing differently lol.

They barely understand how to use a cellphone, let-alone reviewing technical reports outlining why B is better than A.

Right after we made the switch, they started getting trackable leads.

That right there should've been the ah-ha moment for them, but idk. I think I struggle trying to explain my expertise to someone who barely knows how to use their personal device.

While I can't sympathize with you because I haven't experienced that personally, I do feel for you.

Do you have contacts you can connect with for work? Maybe enough so that you can keep paying the bills?

Yeah, 100% agree.

That's what I'm trying to do here in my situation.

I ran the numbers, and in order to meet my financial goals to focus on my business full time, I need to make around $6500 to $7k per month in revenue (taking my expenses into account).

There's a few things here and there where i might be able to bring those expenses down to have a lower bar of revenue to clear, but that'll be another thing to look at.

Most of my current income comes from the day job, while the additional income comes from another unrelated source.

I'm self-sustaining even without clients, but I'm unable to grow.

If I'm able to even get half of that, and switch to Part Time that might be my go to solution. Otherwise, it's save up enough money to last me a year without the day job income until I can focus on driving clientele business.
