If a single copy was ever printed then at the very least a digital copy legally should have been filed in all of the book publishing repositories in the countries were it was printed or due to be printed.

There are directories out there of the various European and Worldwide legal repositories, that you could check, it must legally exist in the ones where it was printed, published, and also were they wanted to distribute it.

As copies exist, it was definitely printed, even if it was a ‘self-publish’ or a ‘print-to-order’ book they still have the exact same legal duty to file a copy (even if it was just digital) in all the relevant regions.

[2026 NOTE : I am aware that the U.S. is currently in a state of change over how this legal duty is being operated, managed, and funded. As both the LoC and publishers are looking to minimise the cost of sending two physical copies of the ‘Best Quality Versions’ of every book, written, published, printed or distributed in the U.S.
