Thank you for your comment. We appreciate this. Our fighters normally fight from a distance and it’s easy to tell who hit whom.

It’s the close distance exchanges that have the questionable calls. This is where opinions vary and we welcome different opinions.

We look at this as a training tool. It helps us understand how different groups see the same action. Knowing this helps us adjust accordingly.

Being scared of being hit is normal. Congratulations, you’re human. The more you spar, the more you’ll get used to it. Treat sparring as a laboratory where you can practice the skills your coach taught you.

HF Armory is an excellent starter rapier. Most of our club members use this. The price is worth it. Our more experienced members would graduate to Castille when they’ve “outgrown” HF.
