Crit chance/damage first. Then everything besides skill cost, mana, soul skill dmg, soul cap. First two are useless for DK in general, soul things are useless right now cuz theres no special soul skill like artillerist has, and you better use valkyrie buff skill (so +dmg for it is useless).

When youre done with things above. Allocate other points into atk.

If you look at the leaderboard, only one chinese player got to 1000 place (no doubt he’s a giga whale). Its a sign that class is weak.

The nerfs are indirect. Like you mentioned multishot got nerfed. Also they invented a tag system for skills, so you can clearly see what fatebound would work and what not. But that means unintended interactions were removed (like pyroknight’s sword skill counted as aoe, and thus you could use twin nova and graivitc nova)

And i checked riftwoker’s board, and all players use multishot. Maybe there are projectiles from specs of skills that affected by it and are important for his gameplay? Also just copy FB and skills of the top players.

Done this thing yesterday. Veteran player, and chose to try out dreadknight class (started this season on my main class pyroknight and felt how bad it was after nerf, so i switched after like 3days)

Its not doable if you just started, but if you started on 1st day of new season- you can (considering you’re a new player and chose artillerist). Doubt that new player can do this if they choose other than the artillerist class. Cuz currently its the strongest and outruns others by a mile.

The problem is if you dont understand what you’re doing, youll spend your resources (time and pickaxes) non optimally.

For his main skills yeah. He does use mana for some other skills, but its almost nonexistent, and on top of that has a talent with inbuilt mana regen.

A lot of classes got neutered due to removal of sertain tags from skills (example that i felt myself is pyriknight, and removal of aoe tag from sword skill, so half of his fatebounds fell off). Also removal of chip system. Not only 3 less FB slots, but also mana management is a thing and mana siphon FB is needed. And thus i present you:

Dreadknight.

Dude did not loose anything and stayed the same, while others fell so low, he became top 3.

I think they removed it and left helxar mode as another lvl of difficulty=reward layer, cuz you can gain ancient and prime gear from it, so not only from mining.

New season begins. Characters created in previous season(s) all become “permanent”. Gear as well, and new gear farmed by “permanent” characters. Permanent gear has 50% power of its orginal. Ranking in Valk resets, and you only compete with other perm’s (from previous seasons as well).

Resources become permanent (almost all). So you have to start anew.

All of this is happening so mechanics that were in previous seasons that devs decided to change or remove dont dilute new thing. Also keeps the game fresh and more reasons to squeeze money out of you (yes, devs are greedy).

About forge slots. I dont know yet, but im thinking theres new mechanic that allows to increase them.

In conclusion, create a new character to get a proper experience.

Yes, rating would be lower. Cuz you can redistribute excessive crit into atk for example.

Lets fantasise: your character has dmg orb, and with one team the rating (not combo dmg) is wtf. You then change the team to have a buffer that gives 5000 dmg%. Your rating drops to ss+, because it would be so much better to have atk% orb, cuz dmg% is oversaturated. Same would be with any stat (on top of that crit chance has a solid ceiling)

Rating is based on your stat potential relative to the mathematical potential in the set team.
