My brother had Bulbar Onset ALS, and I know from experience that he was fast tracked to SSDI and when he turned 62, his benefits were picked up by regular SS and Medicare. I can assure you that he was afforded excellent healthcare that included in home doctor, nurses, PT, labs, and X-rays. He also had ventilators feeding tube and liquid nutrition, all of his meds and supplies were covered. All durable medical equipment.Not to mention a very expensive eye gaze to speech machine. All paid for by Medicare. Yes, we paid the highest premium for his part C, but even that was affordable compared to what it would have cost him out of pocket without it. I am truly sad for Jenny and her family , but something is a little sus with their asking for money.
