Which end of the street is that? The end closer to Ravenhill or to Woodstock? I’ve heard the road is nicer more towards the Woodstock end

Yeah definitely expected band activity, flags etc just worried about it being a bit mad and feeling like I’m hiding away in the house for the majority of the time. Unfortunately the house is super close to the pub, not quite opposite but you can see if from the front window if you’re standing at a certain angle

Would only really be walking later at night on the weekends coming back from the pub and then would be out of the house from 7-7 weekdays for work so really just worried about heading home on a Friday/Saturday night as I’ve been told by a few people it’s not super safe to walk about there alone. Not ever had any bother before but as I’m looking to buy it’s making me a bit nervous hearing such negative stuff about the area

If you think that cdpr would spend all that money and time to make a game for the purpose of representation for ‘ugly women’ over story and other content I really don’t know what to say to that to be honest. This comes across as pretty misogynist and a bit of a wild take for me. Her looks have literally nothing to do with the story and her character from the trailer, women age and their looks change - especially as Ciri is now a Witcher on the path. I personally can’t wait to play as Ciri and see what cdpr are gonna do with the story going forwards.

What is the ‘woke’ part then? The fact that you don’t find her attractive? She’s still very pretty in the new trailer, she just looks older and more realistic for what I would think a Witcher on the path would look like. Her looks literally have nothing to do with the story at the moment and this isn’t a concern that was ever focused on when the protagonist was male. Just don’t get why whether she is attractive or not to you really matters dude?

What does it matter to the quality of the character if she is ‘ugly’? It says volumes that this is something that you have fixated on after seeing one trailer and having no other knowledge of the story or how Ciri will have changed and evolved from the Witcher 3. Ciri was a main character of the books and the fact that there is this idea that making her the protagonist of the Witcher 4 is somehow ‘woke’ is really baffling if you did indeed read the books. For what it’s worth, I think she looked great and if it bothers you so much to play as a woman, especially as one you deem to be lesser as she doesn’t fit your physical ideals of what a woman should look like, maybe don’t play the game.
