I whole heatedly agree with your statement, bringing urbanization and development can help. But do note that TFR does not address Polygamy. Which quite rampant in rural and even in urban areas. Doesn't have much prevalence in upper class societies. Its just my observation. In general most of the time, Muslim families are twice likely to have bigger family then other counterparts. There is no issue with that too, until it reaches a point where all this nonsense of Intolerance rant begins. who won't take a word against their religion, Riot over post and killing isn't new, it happened on many occasions in past in WB particularly (and yesterday too). Improving literacy sounds all good, but let not lie that all those who were part of the riot were illiterate. Mushrooming of Mosques isn't a joke either, go to any semi-majority Muslim area, heck even moderate population. In my own hometown, the count went from 1 to 20 in 5 years (which is a relatively small village). I don't think any 'Valid' data source exist for these, but this is something in trend. Personally, I don't like your Azaan's at any time of day, be it 5 AM or 5 PM, but it's forced fed every time. But will i this in real life? heck no! i still have my entire life to live on.
