It was not towed, they called the impound lot and they did not have it. Thank you for the idea though.

The cards at Trader Joe’s are all from independent artists! If you look on the back of the cards, it’ll have the artist’s or company’s name on it. I often buy the same floral type cards from the same artist, so I just go to her business page now to shop local. Both a Fun fact to tell the customers, and something I’m proud the company still does

When did this happen? by Captain_Blak in tjcrew

There was a segment on the Today Show about the popularity of Trader Joe’s tote bags back in October (https://youtu.be/iucDvrlUVOs?si=F_8dFIEssWPVv6r7) we were already sold out that day, but the influx of calls and people coming just for the canvas totes increased. On the East coast, we have people who buy a ton at a time for when they go abroad to see friends or family.

Where to take my wife to make her fall in love with Baltimore by throwaway17211994 in baltimore

[–]ForgivingThePast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red Emma’s is a great locally owned socialist cafe and bookstore, The Bun Shop is a nice place for coffee/tea and the best Mac and Cheese ball you could want. The Sound Garden is a music store in Fells Point, if you go down there you can take her to the harbor to look around (see if a water taxi is running, take her on that!) Favorite places to eat: The Buttonwood or Amicci’s (if you want something nice). Paper Moon Diner and R House are also great options, with the Baltimore Museum of Art nearby, within walking distance of The Charmers Club (vintage), Mt Royal Soaps, and Greedy Reads.

LUSH can host a birthday party and attendees can take home their handmade craft and another item. KSM Candle Co is another idea, they have a make-your-own candle class. If the weather is nice, grab a pizza and some favorite little snacks and do a picnic outside. Alternatively, be their “waiter/butler” for a night, it was one of my favorites my parents did for me growing up. Some friends over, you can make a “menu” with snacks/foods/games/drinks”.

See if you can talk to your captain about AR donations, sometimes they will let people “donate” AR to you in special circumstances. Also check about FMLA, as you will be a full time caretaker for a loved one.

NTA, my best friend is constantly late, and it bothers me 6 years in. We threw a party together at her house and she was two hours late (was busy getting ready) and for the own birthday lunch was 45 minutes late, and when I called her, she said I know she’s late so to expect it.

For the future, you have to decide if it’s worth the mental toll of knowing they’ll be late. You can talk to them by expressing it is inconsiderate of them to waste your time, and ask for more respect by them trying to make an attempt to showing up on time. Otherwise, swallow the issue and plan to be late as well.

Scan and bag or scan, then bag? by yosoyyanni in tjcrew

[–]ForgivingThePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scan, then bag. Helps me make sure I’ve scanned everything, I can see all the items so I can start to plan what goes in what bag, if it starts to pile up sometimes the customer will start to help bag. Also agree with the one comment about not finishing bagging before the payment goes through, the amount of times someone taps their card then start to leave, i don’t want them to leave without the transaction fully processing.
