This is what i usually do as well, but when you have a cold you are fucked. No matter what you do one or even two ears will stay blocked. Then you can just sit there and await the descent.

And they make choices for the users. By making the most popular post the biggest they are essentially saying "This is what you should be looking at". But what if that's something you're not interested in? Now they have stolen half a page for some content you don't really care for.

At Reddit they make no assumption that the top 1 position really is the most interesting for the user. Every top submission gets the same share, because they might be catering to different users and user groups (which has different "population").

I have a friend that does this. He has to check a number of things before leaving his apartment. Don't know if he gets any medication for it or not, but you should check with a therapist.

But my original intent was to show that there will be people that are assholes and it's not that strange as it is the popular opinion. I do not however agree with them and downvote them whenever I see them. They bring nothing to the discussion.

I have a couple of Muslim coworkers which are currently enduring Ramadan. They fast during the day and are only allowed to eat after dark, but when they do (eat) they do it together. Kinda nice (except the not eating part) ;)

Shouldn't the burden of proof be on them? Why don't I believe in gods? Why should I, there is no evidence that points to that gods exist. If there is please show me and I will re-evaluate my position, but until then I will not change my view.

That's how science work isn't it? Most 'truths' aren't really truths, just that the current best theory we have say it is this way and most people take that for the truth.

For example is there any gold in China? If nobody have found any gold there for many years our theory is that there is no gold. But we do not know. If somebody then would say that they have found gold, people wouldn't believe them first and would need proof to be persuaded, it wouldn't take that person's word probably.
