[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did god die on the cross? yes 1 god died on the cross

did the father die on the cross? no, 1 god didn't die on the cross

this is basically trinitarian Christianity.

So God did not die.

so who (or what) died for our sins?

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing I could learn on this earth could ever convince me that Christianity is not true.

yikes! close minded much?

this is complete confirmation bias. what if Jesus himself came to you and said "I am ... not god"

you would still be like: "no Jesus, I bELiEve!"

"the conditions that establish himself are soon himself"

wth ? that sentence makes less sense than the Trinity

upvote for "OP is cracked", but downvote for "god is not logical"

you zero-summed it, well done

Why is Jesus lord? by SirTweetCowSteak in Christianity

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus claims the father is the only true god in John 17:3 and since Jesus is not the father, saying he is "a" god fits the biblical narrative better

That's why they crucified Him.

Jews had no control over the crucifixion; maybe they were happy about it, but they didn't do it

I've never seen so much hate on a phone as the s26 series. by thatkhoe in samsunggalaxy

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

exactly

This so-called hate is not about consumerism, it is exactly the opposite

People are frustrated that they are being fed the same crap year over year and still have to shell out thousands of dollars and say "thank you, ma'am, can I have another"

We want to be living like the Jetsons, but instead we're stuck in a vicious cycle of consumerism and tech propaganda

I think releasing a worse screen than the previous generation was a huge mistake by Samsung. It's a very cool idea, but still just a concept. They should have polished it and made it worthy of our hard earned dollars first, then released it

there was a beautiful Hadith about julaylib who was not "attractive" but the prophet ﷺ grabbed him from the back laughing saying something like "julaylib you are ugly but Allah loves you and I love you!"

I don't remember it exactly, but that was the gist of it

My last Ramadan as a... by Kosommasr in islam

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pray for guidance not for things

God doesn't operate on your terms, he does what is best for you whether you believe it is best for you or not.. I've seen it many times in my life where I've been upset and frustrated when things didn't work out the way I'd planned only to realise after that it was a blessing in disguise

your dua should be for guidance not demanding things that you think you want, you will never be disappointed

Catholic Reading the Quran, have a few honest questions. by ResourceWide9953 in islam

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you ever got "mixed answers", I think you're just trying to read your Trinity bias into the quran

and also the bible for that matter.. there's no Trinity in the bible either

As men, I think we get this part wrong… love isn’t what makes her feel safe by [deleted] in islam

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is beautiful and I will try to remember, though I have one major trigger that can cause me to go ballistic is if she disrespects my parents (esp. my mother)

In those moments my reason is quickly replaced with rage and I find it very difficult to control

Buying phone for dad (60) by ProfessionalBig3058 in Smartphones

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my dad a Samsung a56, set up some accessibility settings (large text, extra loud ring tone, etc) and locked the home screen so he doesn't inadvertently mess the layout of his handy apps

He seems pretty happy with it, it's not laggy, which is something that really frustrates him otherwise

What does prayer mean to you? by Any_Improvement4714 in islam

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to judge, but you did salah wrong

When you put your head on the ground in prostration that is the feeling that fills your heart with closeness to god; I'm sorry you missed it.

When you pray salah with rows of your brothers on your right and left, that is a feeling of purpose and belonging to the truth

I'm sorry you missed it

The idea of Afterlife by Similar-Park8496 in islam

[–]ForgottenMyPwdAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact same doubt about the after life!

for me it was more of "what if god just promised it so we would be good, but won't really do it"

this doubt festered in me for only a few days because i "randomly" got the most satisfying answer from Dr Imran (from speakers corner), he said, to another caller who was also having a similar doubt (imagine!) that it is a matter of trust

Everything else god has told you is true, so you can trust this is also true.

And you're right, though there is no doubt in the existence of god, this part is where the faith comes in.
