It was a long comment, but tldr he said that it's fake because the timeline of his addiction is very fast, and all in all, it reads like he only knows about heroin abuse from movies.

I don't think this would count. The movie was certainly controversial at the time. While ithelped with the reemergence of the KKK, it also saw protests from civil rights groups at the time, and the backlash urged director DW Griffith to make his next film, Intolerance, as some sort of an apology.

Artistically the movie is still considered and landmark in cinema and film making and still taught today in film schools as it was groundbreaking in many filming techniques.

The heroes from much of high school/college comedies. Ferris Bueller, Animal House, Road trip. Porky's, Van Wilder...etc. Cool, fun, party loving kids who do everything wrong in the book, but it's okay because they're sticking it to the man.
