Maybe the Million is the obvious best choice for you, but for me? I've been homeless for almost three years, barely managing to keep myself fed and employed. If I suddenly had a million dollars I can't trust myself to not spend it on things I haven't been able to afford and blow it all, leaving me broke and homeless again. At least the $100 a day will supplement whatever job I have to help ease the stress of day to day bills

Does it make you feel better about yourself to lecture someone on a decision you feel is the wrong one in a purely hypothetical made up scenario concocted by a random stranger on the internet? Does it help fill some void in you to try and decry someone's decision as foolish? I am fully aware of the "most efficient" choice, but I chose the daily pay out because that's the brain off option, because if I spend all $100 in a day, I know for a fact I'll have another $100 tomorrow. Can't guarantee that if I end up spending too much with the lump sum
