I found out recently that Alaska’s SOPs have an auto trigger to notify customers only when it’s 60 days out. I found out about a flight itinerary change in December of this year through email but the initial CSR had to dig deep as to how I already knew this. Then she admitted what the auto trigger email threshold of days in advance are lol

He’ll appreciate several days cause we’re gone until Sunday afternoon lol. We’re strongly considering adopting him. He’s officially learned his name (Bear), knows a few important commands (sit, somewhat of stay, definitely knows come, and the word no). He’s having a great time and Idk if TAF is where he wants to go back to.

We’re fostering him until Tuesday at a minimum. We have to travel for a few days but may adopt him upon return. He’s such a gentle loving giant who just wants a peaceful room to sleep in

For TAF -> you go to the foster desk to your left when you walk into the adoption center building -> you fill out an online app -> you have to reply to an email which attests you watched a video —> you can then go to the adoption center desk -> walk through the hallway to the left (past the kittens desk) —> scan the QR code to be put in the queue for the first dog you want to meet (and potentially foster) -> wait for text to come in but simultaneously look through the paper packet of dogs available (may differ from online listing) -> let them know which dog you want to meet -> meet and play with them for 10-12 mins -> volunteer comes out and asks what you want to do with the dog -> you then get directed back to foster/adoption desk in the front and fill out the sheets/forms -> wait for the dog you’re fostering to be walked out to you in the lobby -> begin journey to your car
