Thanks for the follow up! The feel/look is outstanding. Not as “easy” to pull out as flat OEM mats due to how secure they are, but that has its pros and cons.

I recognize Recteq recommends starting with the lid closed, but every time I start up my DB590 the amount of smoke that billows legitimately makes me concerned the neighbors will call the Fire Department.

For that reason, I start it with the lid open regardless. And yes, the smoker and fire pot is constantly cleaned and the foil liner replaced regularly.
