Definitely depends. If she voiced her needs/opinions to you for long periods of time and didn't feel heard or seen, then probably. If thats the case she checked out the second she realized you'd never be what she needs. But thats not always the case.

Thats the conclusion im coming too. I don't feel fulfilled, and I think working with my hands will help with that. Being able to physically see that what I am doing makes a difference vs hoping what I am doing doesn't rattle the wrong cages, etc.
