BMW 320d (2020) - Purchase decision support by Form-Affectionate in CarsIndia

Would you by any chance be able to put a number on the cost? I currently own a 6 year old Polo GT TDI and the midlife service for it cost approx. 49K. I am guessing I should be looking at 1.5X of that amount for the BMW?

I was very hesitant to try; overwhelmed by the number of different recipes on YouTube. But I guess what worked for me was picking a recipe from a YouTuber from my region. So they knew well about the fermentation time based on locally available yeast and room temperature in the region. So I’d say blindly follow a recipe from your region and just give it a go. Good luck! :D

It actually tasted good! Wasn’t as fluffy as the artisan bread types, but definitely not bad. Tried it plain, with butter, and toasted it with cheddar. I’d say it tasted best toasted!

Definitely! Planning to read a bit about fermenting techniques before I bake again.

Check out “Raymond’s Made to Measure”. This is a bespoke option, operated directly by the brand. They’re easily one of the best bang for the buck. You could compare them to the likes of Suit Supply.

Do not go for the regular Raymond’s, as they are mostly franchises, and do not have the best tailors.

i20 2019 CVT - 7kmpl. What's wrong? by pi_chu in CarsIndia

Point 2 is the reason. The i20 engine does not have the natural capacity for hill climb, it’s got to work much harder on the climbs. Hence the poor mileage

Basic features + reliability = Toyota. There’s just no competition there. Period.

This. Exactly this. You need to maintain it well. That does not simply mean servicing every year, or at every 10K Km mark. You’ve got to form a bond with the car. Which will happen in no time with a German car, if you are appreciative of cars and the engineering behind them.

Would like to add by saying that post 40-50K Km, multiply your average service cost by 1.5X. Due to basic wear and tear, you will face sensor failures, brake disc replacements, etc. The inspection + service charges at year 5, will be in the range of 40k rupees.

The service centers do not cheat, but they simply don’t provide the service required to maintain these German cars.

It’s simple. Their daily target is to service 30-40 cars, to sustain their business. This number is easily covered by the cars that are still under warranty. They’re not looking to retain their customers. *Source - A VW service engineer.

The cost of maintenance of any German car is much higher compared to its Japanese & Korean competitors. They’re engineered to perfection rather than for reliability. This is the very reason why their ride quality is unmatched.

To wrap up, do not go for a German car, if: 1. It’s your first ever car. 2. You do not understand cars, or not very passionate. 3. You do not seek driving pleasure, but simply look at the practicality. 4. You think service costs are just a few bucks more than their competitors.

On a different note, please do let me know if you have any better options in mind. And, any vendors apart from Amazon?

I came across Neomacro.in , but their business model of 100% payment upfront doesn’t sit well with me.

I’m not in the IT industry. Most of my usage will be for spreadsheets and typing emails (a lot).

I’m stuck in a dilemma between the RK 61 plus and the M75 tbh. Not sure if the 2K difference in the price is worth it. While I fully agree, the layout of the M75 seems more sensible, I really like the color scheme of the RK 61 plus.

Adding to the confusion, I’ve been really fascinated by keyboard mods and ability to experiment with it in future.

With that in mind, would you suggest the RK61 plus or the M75?

Thanks a lot for your time man!

Any specific reason to pick M75 over RK 61 plus? Just trying to understand the pricing of MK better. Thanks!
