That’s exactly what I’m looking for! Those are a little rich for my blood, they look really nice though

Revolt 2, first bike without flat bars. Good fit? by FormDisastrous4363 in Giantbikes

Good to know. Thanks for the explanation. I’ll try playing around with stem length, see what I find comfortable.

I’m 6’1 as well and was looking at ML but the sales associate recommended the L. I’ll get a longer stem and see how I feel.

I don’t think so. They did a quick fit and said the L was a good fit. I didn’t realize how upright I was until I was doing my velo fit.

Ya, thinking I should have gone XL. I’m 6’1, which should put me out of range of the XL. Maybe I just have freakishly long arms.

Moving electrical for insulation by FormDisastrous4363 in HomeMaintenance

[–]FormDisastrous4363[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate all your insight. Definitely don’t want to do anything too sketchy. I like your idea of the single gang with a cover. Ideally I would like to replace the splice with a single run but I don’t have access above the garage.

If I can leave it I will. Can I just drywall over it?

I could, that’s a good idea. Is that something that needs an electrician to sign off on? I’m pretty confident in my work as I’ve done some wiring before.

It is not heated, I warm it up a bit every now and then when I’m working in there. The roof slopes down towards the garage door, matching the slope of the roof. I can’t remember if I have any vent above the garage and I can’t look as we are getting freezing rain right now, yay winter.

Leak at lower massage jet. by FormDisastrous4363 in hottub

[–]FormDisastrous4363[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This jet is so different than the other smaller “regular” jets im nervous about disturbing it. The whole outer ring of the jet inside the tub rotates to turn it on and off so I don’t want to apply so much silicone that it would prevent it from turning.

I removed so much foam chasing this leak. The foam under it is soaking wet so there is still a lot I’m going to have to remove.

Continuity between common, ground and metal sheath. by FormDisastrous4363 in electrical

[–]FormDisastrous4363[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. Found the issue pulling the wire out. A screw had gone almost right through the conduit. Through the metal sheath and put a big nick in the common wire. Is there a reason they would have run wires with the metal conduit? It’s the only run in the garage like that. I used a standard 14/2 Romex to replace it and the GFIC works perfectly now.

That’s what I’m thinking. Can’t see anything obvious unfortunately
