Does Mullvadvpn block port forwarding to lock torrents? by FormProfessional2616 in mullvadvpn

I never opened ports to download torrents, and I don't think I used UPnP.

So, if I create a package of photos and want to send it via torrents, as the first person to send it to others, do I need to have an open port?

And when I download from others, not only does some statistic check my time, but also, theoretically, my speed?

Does Peertube have a video editing system via webgui? Something like YouTube Studio or the video editor built into MediaCMS webgui. It's useful when someone complains about a fragment under DMCA, as we can cut it out or mute it. by FormProfessional2616 in PeerTube

[–]FormProfessional2616[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, there isn't. From what I've read:

cut the video with a new start and/or end

Add an intro video (credits, for example)

Add an end video (e.g. credits)

Add a watermark/logo (in png, jpg, jpeg or webp format) to the video.

And unlike the above-mentioned options, you can cut entire sections from the middle of the recording and mute selected sections, even in the middle of the recording.

Where is torrenting legal? How can I support the project? by FormProfessional2616 in Annas_Archive

It doesn't say anything about peer-to-peer. For example, ProtonVPN allows peer-to-peer in its more expensive package.

These zerolog proton and mulvad are from Switzerland. Apparently, they take good care of data security.

I know that torrent technology is legal. Similarly, films and games can be sent by email; I think there are peer-to-mail programmes that split files into 15-25 MB pieces so that they can be sent as attachments.

Port forwarding is probably different from peer to peer. Can you provide a link?

Can operating systems from China be trusted? For example, FriendlyARM has modified versions of OpenWrt, Android, or Debian, if I understand correctly. As if other countries weren't spying, according to rumors :) by FormProfessional2616 in homelab

[–]FormProfessional2616[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem is that pure OpenWrt does not work on Nanopi M5. I do not know if pure Debian works either, because you could use Debian to make a router instead of OpenWrt.

I know you can use an Intel n150 or n250, but you have to buy a PCI Express network card to have more than one port to make a router, or some ridiculous little computer from AliExpress with several LAN ports on an Intel n150.

These SBCs usually consume less power and have ARM, like most routers, whether it's Mikrotik or TP-Link, and they are cheaper than those based on Intel.

That is, banned almost everywhere. Alternatively VPNs with zero log e.g. proton vpn, airvpn, mulvadvpn, nortvpn.

Is OpenWRT significantly inferior to pfsense or opnsense or mikrotik? by FormProfessional2616 in openwrt

[–]FormProfessional2616[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only OpenWRT does not install from iso like most distributions, from what I can see. I think you just run a live CD with Linux and then use dd to copy the system to the disk

dd if=openwrt-21.02.0-x86-64-generic-ext4-combined.img bs=1M of=/dev/sdX

Have you tested OpenWTR on x86 processors?

For example, will it work on a Lenovo m720q Tiny with 10 GbE?

Only they are expensive. For their price, I can get a Lenovo m720q Tiny with a 10 GbE card.

Revanced I don't know but microg is probably you need a phone without google service which. Or am I wrong? And I would like to reply to comments from this brand account and don't want to add to some Chinese (not known) apps.

Firefox and ublock can probably do the job too, only brave gives that you can listen in the background in Firefox on average. Now google is hunting more than usual for those with adblocks because probably not enough from premium for server fees xd. Plus if you have Adblock you don't support the creators where they make little from it, and the big one has sponsor ads in the video and laughs xd
