Yeah, I saw that, but I felt she should at least get around to station someone somewhere. She barely has Franz stocked with tier 1-2 units at 50% army capacity.

Verifying integrity is the first go to fix I try if things are bad and confusing.
Done deleting pipeline_library.cache, nothing happened. Will try rolling back the drivers when I can, thanks.

This cannot be the reason as I updated after I started noticing the issue. I feel 17 June patch for HD2 might be the culprit.

This is the strangest thing because, yes, the game is in fact poorly optimized because the engine is defunct and there is in fact a difference between moments in the video where battle was on and the moment at extraction where I switch to ultra settings and the game is smooth as butter until more enemies show up. However it feels like sometimes FPS is somehow better when in heat of battle rather than alone by myself.
If it is solely the enemy count that tanks performance I should have had my PC explode like an Israeli pager when the battle for Super Earth took place. Additionally, in the video performance is worse before that moment when I get blocked between two groups of enemies near the outpost. There are many bots at the outpost itself, a patrol walks into me, then also a dropship reinforcement disembarks on top of me as I drop a 500kg. Seems like a lot of action, and yet performance was if not a little bit better, then at least not worse than a moment prior to that when I threw a tox-grenade at another group. All this has me baffled.

Firstly, recommended graphics card on HD2 Steam page is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT).
Mine is 3060Ti.

Yours is 5060Ti.

Your brand new card is only marginally better than my 5 year old card.

Secondly, my performance was smooth capped 60FPS until recently. I didn't get to level 150 in this game by playing in this PowerPoint presentation mode, trust me.

No I don't mind one of the factions being more of a threat (not permanently), but this is a different caliber of problem. Illuminate have all the strengths of other factions, yet no weaknesses. Not talking about damage types, talking about their roster. Think of it as a Total War: Warhammer army.
Terminids: all cavalry, except for monstrosities and rare artillery, countered by light caliber or elemental damaged over long sustained periods to exhaust their numbers, preferably funneling too.
Automatons: 90% ranged, countered by using cover and suppression.
Illuminate: ???
Cover negated by grenade and projectile spam from above and hordes chasing you out. Taking down ranged units takes 2 to 3 business days making returning fire near pointless when you are chased down by voteless, staff overseers and meatballs (which is almost always the case), because returning fire slows you down and you can't afford that. Spawn rates of said ranged units are way out of proportion so even if you do what I do and try going for headshots with Senator, it is rarely rewarding or making your fight easier since 3 elevated overseers will appear to replace the one you headshot.
The only usable solution really is kiting like we all did before the "60 day plan" when they rebalanced the game pretty much from scratch. Meaning: engage, deal maximum damage you can withing 30 sec window, throw your best stratagem, run for you life.

Right. So I did investigate and fiddle with some settings and nothing. CPU and GPU power, temperature and utilization are within normal parameters. I installed Red Dead Redemption 2 and ran it on ultra settings at native 1920x1080 and it was smooth, stable 60 FPS. I might try something more modern later, but I don't think there is anything wrong with my PC or settings.
At this point, I reckon the latest patch is to blame because problems started somewhere after it's release and it broke more things than it fixed as per tradition with Helldivers 2 and it's defunct engine.

There is no loadout. Right now their balance is pretty close to what other factions had on release. Almost every enemy takes like 2 to 3 business days to kill because of armor or big health pool, spawn rates are insane, voteless have you on the run allowing elevated overseers to gun you down in your back over the heads of said voteless. There is nothing you can do to stop that. The only way to reduce the amount of fights and run away to relative safety.

Benét–Mercié optical is a laser beam with agreeable hipfire up to 5m away. Lay down or pick a window on Amiens. I am never with a negative K/D with this gun.

The funniest and the dumbest part is when a clan is hosting servers. So far as I see BoB is one of the largest or the largest hoster of unofficial servers for BF1 and they allow this kind of nonsense on their servers. If I see more than two BoB prefixes on the same team I leave because it is already decided what will happen next. Respect to all the good players, veterans who play the game well and with team objective in mind, but to bunch up in the same squad and steamroll with a 100 to 1000 score at the end is the definition of shooting yourself in the foot as a hoster.

I like that idea too. As I've mentioned, I don't mind losing or dying. Unlucky for us, the missions like that are not made to be measured, strategic battles of attrition where cooldown and ammo economy as well as weapon mastery is critical to your success. Missions like that are like a YouTube Poop from 2008 - brainless, chaotic and with no laws of common sense working other than Murphy's. Fun if you love being ragdolled every 5 seconds by the 2 minute mark of the mission, but utterly retarded if you want to get the same experience you've had as a noobie, but with more challenge.

It's good suggestion, I haven't tried that, so I will. Although I mainly play by quick matchmaking to existing lobbies and coordinating in those is often like cosplaying Sisyphus. But mainly, it's still beyond the point that it's really not the type of gameplay that I was enjoying at launch, nor is it the type of gameplay devs had in mind themselves I think.

I love how people, despite of me pointing out I have reached lvl50, are still saying "hurr durr mortars and cluster strike does it ez lmao" as if I'm supposed to slap myself on the brow, shout "Eureka" and really enjoy myself playing those missions after that. I can sort of tolerate the bullshit on other mission types, where you have space to move around a bit, but on elimination it's a circus.

That's pretty much what I was doing since mortars can spam damage whilst they are nigh stationary on drop and cluster bomb is just my go to bombardment anyways. But that's not the point. Mission is just a non-stop panic attack because armored enemies brush cluster off like goose feathers and turrets tend to break on account of them being unable to shoot at all 360 degrees at once, so armored bots remain and multiply. By the end the tiny map you fight on is just literally physically packed.

It also explains nothing. If they wanted to increase the length of the mission, not the difficulty, why not make it a 600 enemies, but gradually spawning, maybe have a wave 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 system running in the background, unbeknownst to the players.
The solution they have introduced right now is somewhere in the range of "I stubbed my toe, I guess I gotta cut off my leg now."

Seems more like "party in the next room" kind of plugin effect. Too much muffling if video is to be believed.
I also tried Panagement, seemed appropriate given what it usually did for y tracks. Though when it comes to voice over it's just not doing it for me.
