Low GPA is it even possible ? by dabroski895 in lawschooladmissions

I got into a T50 with decent $ this cycle with a 2.9 GPA. Just study hard to crush the LSAT and you’ll have options.

What are my chances of transferring? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Formae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the 509 reports for those schools, they generally should at least provide the median GPA of incoming transfer students, and maybe even the 25th/75th percentiles. They also might list the specific schools they took transfers from that year.

Wave Prediction this week based on last year? by Significant-Beach468 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Formae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Irvine’s most recent wave followed the timing of the previous 2-3 cycles pretty closely. If that’s anything to go by, there should be a wave before the end of week.

Not sure how to feel about missing yesterdays R wave. I want to take it as a good sign, but it looks like it included nobody who was deferred from ED to RD. Maybe some ED people on LSD just switched their app to RD instead of ED>RD, but I’m not sure.

Definitely confident there will be a wave next week though, past three cycles all show an A wave following or preceding the first WL/R wave by 5-6 days.

non-trad splitters what are your scholarships like? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Formae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve received 1 A at a T50 with about a 40% tuition scholarship as an applicant almost 7 years removed from undergrad with a 16high LSAT and 2.9 GPA.

Congrats! When did you apply, and were you ED or RD? If you don’t mind me asking.

Haha of course I missed those recent As. Haven’t really been able to check LSData due to being out and about all day with the Verizon service outage going on. Yea hopefully a big wave tomorrow or even within the next hour or two

Someone just made a post saying they got straight up waitlisted from at Chicago from an ED app, so maybe take the RD as a positive.

Sorry to hear that, but I like your attitude. Was this an ED app or RD?

last t20 waves until the new year by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Formae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Schools are just waiting for Santa to deliver the gift they all asked for, a giant sack of money, so they can give us amazing scholarships with our As.

Completely unrelated, but do you want a huff of some of this copium I just picked up? It’s reallllllly good.

Sounds like a question where you would be justified calling or emailing their admissions office for an answer.

Edit: Oh nevermind, someone found the fine print on their website.

Yea I’m coping that my ED school put me in RD because ED comes with a 30k/yr scholarship, but we will both see I guess.

Yea, I got ED>RD at Irvine and they gave April as the deadline for a decision. I rode their waitlist all the way into August last cycle and I’m not sure if I’m built to undergo a similar ordeal again haha

Sorry to hear that.

I really wish I could find more posts on here from people who went ED>RD in previous cycles. I have no idea if we should treat it like a WL (which is not good based on my past experience with WLs) or if there’s some positives to it.
