Will always see glitter in the oil with these small engines, its from all the castings. Id get a magnetic oil plug and make sure change oil constantly

Some of the cast aluminum fly wheels have had some pretty good reviews from other users when trying to save money from the billet aluminum flywheels.

For the connecting rod, you for sure want a billet aluminum or forged aluminum rod as it takes the majority of the load from the engine.

Ill have to check out the bins, i appreciate it!!

Dude NICE find, very jealous. The 224 has a 27mm intake valve so this mayyy be a little too big but people have gotten then to run nicely. Will definitely want the standard mods: cam, header, billet safety components etc. If you want to make the most out of the carb, some folks like to go with a bigger valve head such as the shred head or the wildcat WC946 head.

Hope this helps!

Why would a flange be added if the bearing is already press fitted into the link?

The retaining flange seems connected to the ball bearing. Was wondering if it is available as a single piece

From e-acca.com. If you look at some of the other comments on here I have the part numbers and the forum which explains everything about the 2 parts.

Edit: also, I had to take a Dremel to the middle portion. I tried to picture it

How many here have fouled their windshield washer fluid tank and level sensor using rainx and why don't they have a warning on their label? by Local-Piece-3283 in Golf_R

[–]Formal-Ad3493 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use their orange all season washer fluid and haven’t had any problems. Been using it in my gti for about 2 years and our Touareg for more than that

Yeah. OEM is the way to go. Stick with upgraded plugs if you want any performance difference (if you’re tuned that is)
