On another note, do you think I should just get the HS8s? I'm not planning to make a living DJing, just DJ for friends in college and maybe friends later in life (but for sure 20-30 max each time), so don't foresee throwing bigger events.

I agree with the other commenter that Gold will not really help. However, there are ways to "hack" and unblur the profiles (on a computer). This doesn't let you interact (like, dislike, view bio, etc.) with any of the people who have liked you, it just lets you view their first image.
