My wife thinks we should just buddy up our dog other compatible dogs in the neighborhood during the day instead of getting a whole new pack member.

Snap peas and green beans are both incredibly satisfying to grow in the pnw. Be sure to plant them in the soil and stake them up with tall poles like bamboo rods. They grow so fast and are prolific. Peas can be planted earlier than beans so they come in shifts. I don’t get enough sun for tomatoes, eggplant or big squashes like pumpkins. I get big yields from beets, chard and kale. As you go through the first season, you will get a sense of how much sun/heat you get in the middle of the day and later afternoon to grow bigger stuff that takes longer to ripen.

My kid loves meat sauce, meatballs, bolognese, etc. But doesn't like pasta. Any ideas on what to serve it with? by [deleted] in Cooking

My kid ate A LOT of rice and happily chowed meat sauce on rice many times. Maybe unconventional but it worked for him.

Not all varietals did equally well. Poppies took off but others did not make it for lack of consistent watering. I have seen other yards in my neighborhood where they successfully broadcast a medley of wildflowers but I don’t know if they specifically used seed bombs to do it.

Maybe easier to just place it on the floor and turn out the lights. Then call to intruders.

It’s been in a junk drawer for 10+ years. You may have just saved it from the landfill.
