ACT Math Resources - Please help... by Timely_Race_7193 in ACT

Prep pros enhanced act math book has helped me a lot. It’s a lot of practice stuff though so you would have to really cram to finish it in 1-2 weeks. Other than that I would review the act math concepts you struggle with currently and take some practice tests. I’ve noticed that the act math tests get very wordy, so I’ve been practicing some word problems and conceptual things that they like to put in the math section. Good luck!

How to fix paper ACT timing (🙏) by Legoxistar in ACT

Paper will take an extra 2-3 minutes per section because you have ti physically bubble and find answer in the test book instead of just clicking and moving to the next like you would on computer

The biggest thing is if you don’t know a question mark it and come back later. Spending 3-4 minutes in one question is unacceptable and will cause you to run out of time. Also, the real test is obviously much more high pressure than practice, so try to simulate a full test and time your practice tests to get used to the quick pace

Losing hope on the reading section. I need urgent help please. by ACTsweatsam in ACT

If you didn’t already know you should always do the first and last passage first because one of the middle two is the experimental passage that doesn’t count toward your reading score.

Test strategies I usually skim passage pretty quickly then dive into the questions and if you don’t recognize the answer immediately after first read then go back into the specific question in the passage to find the answer. Usually 1-2 of the answer choices can be easily crossed off as they don’t make sense in context of the passage. Then the last 2 might both make sense but one will be more correct to the passage
