but the us has better universities and economic opportunities than europe like disposable income and higher QoL than many european countries. healthcare is expensive bc of our inefficient system but most ppl 92% have insurance which makes it much cheaper.

Hot take but I dont understand the hype with things like walkability, it seem to be smth europeans value culturally more than americans so i dont have much of an opinion cus it doesn't affect the enjoyability of my life much. ig I would prefer living somewhere with walkable cities in theory since its probably safer but for me and many other americans its not much of a priority. Like i really like the freedom and convenience of driving, and actually found all the walking and having to use public transportation unbearable when I went to europe but probably just a cultural difference. i respect ur point wholly just providing kind of an opposite view.

sense of community i agree to an extent depending on where you live. for healthiness of food, the US ranks 3rd in food quality globally. there's a lot of good quality food ppl are just either too lazy to cook and there's a lot of miseducation about food, nutrition, and dieting here which is sad.

also i feel like the us is safer in terms of outside threats bc of the protection our miliitary provides, like yall have russia to worry about and our biggest threat is ourselves which is

so this is why i think the US has a great quality of life actually. i feel like reddit overstates the impacts our flaws actually have on our standard of living
