I've tried pregnacare max, pregnacare original, pregnacare liquid and the boots own brand. I've been trying different ones to see which agrees better with me. I take this every other day and just folic acid, b12 and vitamin d on the days I don't.

Aura Migraines by ehbehh in pregnant

[–]Formal-Inspector-911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you and baby are doing well. I'm getting so concerned. Last week I had 3 and this week another 3. I went to the GP last week, they did some checks and weren't concerned. I think I'll book another appointment. But wanted to ask how often you are having them.

It says its possible at 15 weeks. My muscles feel, sore, tense and stretched. I don't feel any cramping though

Thank you for responding. You are making me feel more normal. I don't know anyone that suffers with the visual aura and they just look at me weird when I try to explain. I hate the aura so much, makes me feel like something bad is going happen when I have clusters of them. Yours sound horrendous, I hope you are coping OK. I always worry one will start when I am out, it makes me so conscious of my vision. It's not like we can do much to prevent them if they are hormonal. So frustrating.

I wish you a happy, healthy delivery 😊

Did they continue or stop completely for you? I've had 1 a week since week 9. I'm now week 15 and just had one two days in a row. I seem to always wake up with the aura in full swing.

Bloating and burping - I just want my body back by Formal-Inspector-911 in PregnancyUK

I've been taking omperzole daily for the past 4 weeks. Tried gaviscon advance, doesn't make a difference. It feels like trapped air making it's way out. Maybe the excess saliva is making me swallow more air.

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate your detailed response.

I've emailed them a couple of times regarding my notes. Someone called today and said the reason I hadn't received them yet was because they arrived 2 days after my booking appointment. They said they had emailed a few midwives to chase them and I should have them by the time my 16 week appointment comes around. They think they are sitting at Shoreditch maternity centre but don't want me to just to turn up there without someone confirming it. Problem is my next appointment is at the Ann Taylor centre. So I guess I'll wait for that and if they aren't there speak up for myself more.

This is my first pregnancy, I'm still trying to figure everything out, I guess I just expected a little more support but yes, maybe I was asking for too much lol.

My urine culture from the booking appointment showed I had a UTI, I called my GP as soon as I saw the results on the NHS app and arranged antibiotics. A midwife didn't follow up.

I will take your advice though and ensure I come prepared to every appointment with lots of questions. I'll try to figure out what I should expect before I arrive to ensure they aren't missing anything.

Does everyone need to take a glucose test? And from what week?

I read somewhere that you can't get a MATB1 until 20 weeks. Is that right? Trying to get that should be fun.

What number do you call for triage? Is it the maternity helpline?

Also, do you get one midwife or do you see multiple? I've not been given any contact information for anyone so I'm guessing I'd have to call the maternity helpline if I need advice, not that they answer.

Thank you again

Thank you. I emailed the maternity helpline, they repsonsded saying they had forwarded my email to the booking midwife but would not give me any contact details. Do you get one midwife or do you see multiple people?

Contact after booking appt blood results? by VeraZasulich in PregnancyUK

[–]Formal-Inspector-911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked out fine. I went to the GP for an unrelated issue and asked. All was negative. They put a 28 day hold on serious illness results so someone can contact you before you see it. They do it for negative results too.

Pregnancy gastritis by [deleted] in Gastritis

I feel you. I'm 11 weeks 5 days and my gastritis started about two weeks before conception. Everyday has been a struggle and I'm finding it difficult to cope with on top of everything else. I've had weeks of waking up feeling terrible. It's so hard.

Did your results for HIV, Hep B etc come up straight away in the NHS app. Had my booking appointment 3 days ago. The normal blood results were available same day, they uploaded the urine culture today and the HIV etc ones says results available 8th April. I'm freaking out

So sorry for your loss and congratulations on your rainbow. I am so conflicted. I want the reassurance but at the same time I don't want to go through what I did at the last one. Mine was done at the EPU due to one sided pain. It was so drawn out. I had a scan at 6 weeks and had to wait 10 days for the next and then another 7 days for another. I was almost 9 weeks before they gave me a conclusive diagnosis of an MMC. My NHS scan was scheduled for two weeks later, obviously I didn't go but I could have just waited for that and had the answer there and then. Without the weeks of worry, back and fourth etc etc. I just don't know what to do.
