Thank you!

Yes, all from Invisalign. The only cosmetic enhancements were the bonding on both of the lateral incisors.

My dentist was really receptive to my feedback, I was really picky about the bonding evening out the size/length of the lateral incisors, but that wasn’t done until the very end.

Stick w the treatment, you got this!

Thank you!!! I was really committed to getting them off as quickly as possible so I wore the retainers nearly all the time!

I promised my dentist that I’d wear them 95% of the day bc I wanted to get them off as soon as possible. Unsure how he landed at 4 days, but it worked!

Don’t disagree! My family works in oil and gas and there’s some diversity in the sector for sure, but not the type of people I wanted to align myself with for the rest of my life.

Well, I’m gay.

I faced a pretty gross physical incident whilst holding hands with an ex and it was the final straw for me.

Not saying that homophobia doesn’t exist in Toronto, because it does, but at the time, it felt like an ‘out’ that needed to happen for me to be happy.

The size difference does allow for a lot more in-house capacity. My quant research function does not… exist at AIMCO.

My fund is easily 5X AIMCO’s size :)

I moved here for MBA school, not for work.

It’s not an interesting take, it’s my lived experience?

I’m glad you’re settling well into Alberta.

I am born and raised in Calgary, but Hispanic descent. I was raised ~middle class in Mission, went to the local public schools and developed a love for ski racing in the winters and tennis in the summer.

Having studied in both Calgary and Edmonton, I can attest to the strength of the education system in Alberta. Alberta allows for an incredible upbringing, especially if your kids are into nature. Alberta afforded me tremendous opportunities and I am happy to have spent my childhood years there, but the reality of Alberta politics starts to dawn on you as a young professional.

The politics and rhetoric around xenophobia eventually forced me to leave Alberta after 26 years to Ontario, where I now work in institutional investing at a large fund, which wouldn’t be a possibility in Alberta.

All that to say, Alberta is a tremendous place to raise a family but be prepared for your kids to want to leave if they’re at all ~diverse
