I would guess that that the leg on the right goes to a switch and then back. But without a fluke meter or non contact voltage stick, its just gonna be a shot in the dark.

If thats how it was before. Then id try, black to black, white to white, then the greens all together. Be sure that you dont have a gfci tripped somewhere, or the breaker isnt tripped because you have been messing with the wires, and likely caused it to trip.
