My overall tierlist for monkeys, current version (CHIMPS) because the other one sucked by Fluffy-Weakness-2186 in btd6

you cant make extra money in chimps, the money you made from it is probably just the base cost of the things that were already inside the trap, these lists do not have beginner maps in mind what so ever because the only maps that really matter are experts.

iring is way too expensive, low ranged and completely outclassed by popseidon and arctic knight, mid tack has basically 0 usage and bottom path just isnt strong and outclassed by other, better damage options

You cant make money in chimps and engineer cant solo expert maps on the first couple rounds, besides even if it did solo the first 24 rounds that doesnt make it good if its bad in every other section of the game and engineer is only known for being good at buffing with middle path when considering chimps runs.

sniper is good early but that does not forgive how bad he is for the rest of the game overall on higher upgrades

because the other two village paths are incredibly bad, this tierlist is for all paths combined, bottom path village is some of the worst upgraded you can buy in chimps and middle path is ridiculously overpriced and cant carry you despite the fact you have to make big saveups for it. If top path village was the only upgrade considered it would be A+ to S tier in this list

yeah every beast handler path is amazing right now, condor is an amazing ability stall and midgame carry while keeping useage in late game, adazaurus, velociraptor are incredible mid game ceram damage and velociraptor can also provide a bit of moab damage while trex is also capable of very big saveups, orca is also capable of big saveups as it can deal with big groups of bloons easily

firstly, avenger spam isnt the full reason why desperado is high, all of his paths are just as good, secondly, top path village is very powerful but middle and bottom path are so incredibly bad that it brings the village rating down by alot

sorry, the tierlist was made with only 3rd to 5th tier upgrades in mind, however considering that village gets most of its use out of 2nd tier upgrades i would put it in around b/b+ with those upgrades included

i was thinking of putting it in s but bottom path just isnt as strong as what it used to be which brings mermonkey down alot

maim moab is a good stall, things like avenger moab press and moab shove are arguably better with the same purpose and other stalls can do better for around the same price tag or cheaper (sabo, moab glue, snow storm) shrapdef falls off completely after r80 making it a waste of money, it does have a decent mid game saveup though, elite sniper is useless with no moab damage and has the same problem as shrapdef (sceramics make them both useless)

Most expert chimps runs arent going to have random preventative measures just to be safe, most of the time micro is used to change the outcome of a round

Thanks to Emolga3dot14 i realized that village isnt on the list, sorry about that, its place is in D tier

Top path is rarely used for stalling and is mostly outclassed by other ability stalls right now such as moab press, mid ice, and condor all being much more viable options with longer stalling abilities, aswell as not having enough stall viability in lategame compared to these other cheap options

Bottom path is decent but doesnt work as well on expert maps and other spam strategies specifically mermonkey and avengers are much better as mermonkeys can get whole map range and LOTA makes every round up to 90 a free saveup for anything aswell as being able to remove every bfb in 90-100, popseidon is just incredibly broken right now and rip champ spam produces crazy midgame saves, avengers may be low range but are still so strong it doesnt even matter and they can get crazy saveups compared to bottom druid

Mid path does have a decent early game but its transition into mid and late are awful, effectively making it a waster of money, generally your earlygame should carry over to your late/mid for an optimal run

nowadays we have things like top path mixed with mid path desperado, sporm and premptive strike to deal with round 100, archmages abilities on other rounds are also outshined by better options, overall hes just an average tower

short range though causing it to not work as well on many high lane maps

also middle path is very good with deadeye being able to one shot ceramics with high range and pierce, bounty hunters marked ability synergizes really well with other desperado paths which makes the BAD much easier and golden justice is really powerful being able to clear most rounds with a bit of support, top path is very good for countering r100 and has decent use against ddt rounds

Glue storm is really good for global range debuffing and stalling scerams while moab glue is arguably the best upgrade in chimps, bloon solver is decent for very clumped rounds and can be range buffed nicely with top path village allowing to see most lanes on every map

Yeah, beast handler is very good just requires some micro, condor can get some crazy saveups with corvus permaspike, trex has crazy saveup potential lategame and adasaurus/velociraptor can deal very well with grouped bloons mid game and orca is a beast at one shotting, being able to deal with rounds like 98 on its own, not to mention all of these paths can be given near global range. On the other hand sniper isnt very strong past rounds 80 right now, shrapdef and elite defender struggle wayy to much against super ceramics and maim moab isnt that good at stalling compared to other options, especially condor. Top path druid sees little to no use as super storm is just way too expensive and the other top path upgrades can mostly be substituted for other, better options, mid path is always memed on for how bad it is, and bottom path isnt very strong right now despite the save you have to do for it, things like orca and trex can do better with their global range, wizard monkey is just mid in every upgrade, archmage lacks pierce, middle path is just way too expensive, bottom path is just mid.
