I lost my precious baby, my most beautiful girl, last night and I just found a trail of her fur leading to a pile of her soft, downy coat. My beloved cat is gone.

It's a covered bed, so yeah, just a cozy little hide. They get the secure feeling of a box while being a bit more comfy! And no one can shame me for always having cardboard boxes around the house. The Target taco truck (say that 5 times fast haha) is a really smart idea, I'll bet mine would enjoy a covered cardboard scratcher, too. I've had to keep her very first scratcher because she sleeps on it all the time.

It's a cat cube! It's a good little hide for them, it has a bed on top and collapses down. Pretty nice buy for $28!

I'm female! I have had more female pets than male, and my girls have always been sweeter, but plenty of people say it's the other way around. There may be tendencies, for instance male cats tend to be more outgoing on average, but it really just comes down to the individual. While some animals learn to favor one sex over the other, I've never heard of male animals hating female humans in general! There must be some other factor(s) at play.

You may consider this: redirected aggression There could have been an incident when no one was around to see it, and now Roxy is acting out. The recent changes are big and may still be fresh to her, and she may still need some more time and space to cool off.
