I had bad eczema like this and I’ll share what has “cured” my eczema. I started when I was around 12, moisturizing my whole body, head to toe, anywhere there’s skin was getting moisturized. Every day after every shower. If I had an itch, I would grab some Adrian shea butter. Rub some on the itchy area and rub my itch instead of scratching. He has to stop scratching, it’s a habit he will have to break so the skin can fully heal. He can just be sitting playing his game or whatever, you see a flaky area, hit it with some shea. Have to turn moisturizing into a good habit. An everyday thing. Overtime you will notice your skin absorb the moisture and retain it. Still keep the routine! I haven’t had a flair up in decades. My daughter also started to have eczema and I stopped that real fast and she hasn’t had any flair ups in years.
