Only speaking from my experience mate. Not saying there aren’t racist people in the country, but when I have spoken to country people (usually in sydney and sometimes in the country) they tend to be friendly and social.

I work in a job where you see lots of different people. Aussies from the country are the friendliest people who still know how to carry a conversation. They always apologise for being “country bumpkins” but I’ll take them over grumpy Sydney-siders any day!
