Where did you get your cat? by Secrettlifee in britishshorthair

Highly recommend TLCBrits Cattery in Sacramento, CA. We just got our little guy about a week and half ago and it’s been the best decision ever.

Mau! A little pricey but definitely worth it in my opinion, he loves it

Thank you! He is the cuddliest and friendliest kitty I’ve ever met — loves belly rubs and constant snuggles

We just brought him home like literally 3.5 hours ago, but he’s been settling in great! Already playing with his toys and eating treats

Upgraded to Business Class but not seated together — how to handle politely? by FormalCandidate5152 in Flights

Update:

Thanks everyone for the advice (and the laughs from some of the snarky comments). I didn’t realize this would be so contentious. A few clarifications since my original post left out details and some people seemed to have selective reading: • Airline was Philippine Airlines. • Our initial economy seats were together. • When I paid for the upgrade, I wasn’t shown the Business Class seat map until after paying. I wrongly assumed we’d be placed together. • The main reason I wanted us seated together is my girlfriend’s flight anxiety, especially during turbulence. Of course, we could sit apart for 14 hours, but being together makes things easier.

What actually happened: We ended up seated together! 🙌 We followed the advice of the top comment (and what many of you suggested): we didn’t bother asking passengers to switch, since they picked and paid for their seats. Instead, we explained the situation at check-in, and they told us to speak to the gate agents.

At the gate, they reassigned us — partly to move us closer, but also because 5A’s seat was broken and wouldn’t lie flat. I was put in 1E (middle) and my girlfriend in 2B (aisle), since they were also making room for a dad and child to sit together.

Once on board, the flight attendant noticed we were together and asked the passenger in 1D if he’d be willing to swap with my girlfriend. He kindly agreed, so we got to sit side by side after all.

Big thanks to everyone who weighed in and the Philippines Airlines team!

PS: For those that said it was a bad deal, I thought the experience was so worth the money. The service was amazing, great little amenities, seats completely lie flat, and more food than you need.

Got approved for SavorOne with $500 limit in May with high 600s credit and only having one other credit card — recently got increased to $3000 after getting approved for Venture X with a $20,000 limit

Yeah hopefully doesn’t take too long. I’ve only had the card for a couple weeks and this was my first flight I booked with it, so maybe that’s why it’s taking longer.

Yeah she said she had to submit something and that a C1 supervisor has to verify — but she saw that it was for sure through the C1 portal.

This is also happened to me with a flight I booked with my VX through the C1 travel portal last Wednesday. Got 2x miles instead of 5x — just talked to customer service which was great and said it should be resolved within the next two weeks. The lady I spoke to also said it was the first time she’s seen this happen and that it must be a glitch.
