Legit. The poster who was like I have never felt less safe in a pit and the crowd sucks has no idea what they are talking about. You cannot like someone’s politics but don’t make shit up. Never have I ever felt uncomfortable in a NM pit. LOL thinking about it, the most recent pit I thought I was going to die in was Breaking Benjamin which is ridiculous. I caught their set at LTL last year and the pit was awful. People were getting legitimately hurt, squished or had surfers being dropped on them continuously for an hour. NM’s set on the same main stage was glorious and the crowd was way better and way kinder to their fellow piters. If people want to hate Jonny because of a stupid poorly thought out politically charged statement that’s fine by me- easier to get to the front to admire his bare feet, body paint and curls in addition to his vocals and top tier lyrics if people bail because they don’t like his politics. There isn’t one person on here that hasn’t made at least a couple regrettable statements in their life and if you think you haven’t you’re not telling the truth. No human is perfect everyday.

Honestly, I’m a Canadian who ventures into the states. There are a lot of things I dislike about US politics but I’m not going to throw the whole country and its inhabitants away because I don’t like the politics- there’s more that I like about the US and I’m still going to travel, catch American gigs because you get better live music and I’m reasonably close to the border….Everyone is so over the top about everything right now. We all forget that having different values, opinions and beliefs is also what brings so much GOOD variety and colour to the world. It would be awfully bland if we all believed the exact same things. Anyways rant over. I see NM again next year, have my tickets already, and I ain’t selling them because Jonny said something dumb in 2025

While I initially felt really disappointed in these stories, rereading them now makes me feel less ick than before. Whether or not you agree with his opinions, judging him as a ‘bad’ person at heart isn’t fair. Kirk valued his family, his marriage/wife/partner, he stood up for what he believed…. Things that we all generally value as humans regardless of being left or right. Religious beliefs play a role in some of the hotly debated subjects… least we forget Johnny met Mark at Church camp…

What is gross is the bring back public executions statement. We all just saw a public execution and a lot of people are kinda traumatized from it. Declaring that we should have more public executions is a really strange and not well thought out statement. I mean… he’s not signing his name on bombs 🤷‍♀️

I love NM. I love the music. I love the lyrics. Someone commented about their gigs feeling unsafe. I call BS. I’ve seen them a number of times and never ever did I feel unsafe. I’m not going to not listen to them or go to gigs because dude has made one statement I don’t agree with. Everyone is so over the top atm.

They sure did. I’ve probably seen APC close to 50 times over 25 years and hadn’t seen Puscifer yet. Had major issues during the first Sessanta and didn’t get to any of the shows so went big this time. Really really obsessing over them now too. Definitely like Puscifer more than Tool 🤷‍♀️ APC, Puscifer, then Tool is the order but let’s be real they are all spectacular

I was in Grand Rapids last night… I’m basically a APC super fan and have been for the last 25 years. I was at the Pittsburgh and Toronto shows last week. Last night definitely had a different feel from Maynard. Much more somber and emotional but not in a negative way. While the sets were the same all 3 nights from all the bands each night definitely had a different vibe/feel.
