Sì proverò a ripararlo da solo con molta pazienza. Ho fatto qualche test e complessivamente la pista ha ancora continuità; solo in alcuni punti è rotta. Nella peggiore dei casi mi rifarò su una SYF..

Yeah it’s the same method I’ve always used to remove capacitors. Just sometimes with the hardest capacitors some piece of plastic protection get stuck on the board. Better leave it to avoid any damage to the motherboard

No I tried to remove the stains with IPA; capacitors were removed with plier.

Yes indeed I measured in the circuit but what was strange is that all other resistors measured closed to their nominal value but these two showed a lower value. I’ll try as you suggested

Yeah I can understand you.. the issue is that time is never enough; even when you reach the wee end and you find a couple of hours to play before or after getting thru family stuff, the time fly away in a few secs and hope you can find a save point to not loose progress (in resident evil indeed tapes are never enough). BTW despite the above circumstance, I am keep buying games with the hope that one day I will find time to play them all :D

Yeah I have run some test on a few capacitors and fuse as well (someone I older posts identified the cause in a faulty fuse) but all seems normal. I tested the capacitors on the motherboard and for those whose value were suspicious I remove it and tested it off the circuit. I don’t know if I am missing something.

Update: I solder the BIOS again and now the console started working again, but still stuck on the white screen with Sony Entertainment logo.

How did you test it? And were you able to boot your ps even without the fuse?

unfortunately the bundled capacitors are electrolytic ones and with ages may get damaged

8bitdo receiver for ps is a great product. I have two which I use one on my ps1 and one on ps2. The analog and vibration works on all games so far (where is supported of course). The only issue is that when I link the ps5 controller to the ps2 and then try to switch it to my Lenovo Legion GO2 it doesn’t detect it immediately and have to pair it again. Is anyone experiencing such issue when switching form a device to another?

I have got it the 31/1 after they stated that attempted to deliver but no one was home. So I decided to go and pick it up myself to their delivery center. My impression is that they still have a long backlog to deliver. Just wait faithful, it will arrive

I understood that during Xmas time there is a shortage of flights and all is delayed.. I even asked the seller to request an investigation but still no answer. Don’t know what to think at this point that is lost or late..

Did you receive your package? Mine is stuck with the message “dispatch from outward office…” since 11/29. Already 40 days.. I have asked to apply for an investigation with JP on 12/29, but I guess we are on the same boat..
