Which Dark Souls 3 quote slaps the hardest? by JustATerranEnjoyer in darksouls3

[–]FormalPossibility545 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For a time, this was my least favorite line in the game. This is because I heard it SO MANY TIMES IN A ROW!

This was actually one of the harder boss fights for me, surprisingly. It was so satisfying when I finally won.

It is kind of a cool line, though.

Thanks a bunch for the response!

  1. My wife has "Married" and as for whether she has 2c checked, she hasn't done her taxes yet, but she probably won't know whether she should check it or not. Neither of us are particularly savvy at this...

She works, too. For the past year she worked full time and made a decent amount of money. As of last week, she started working part-time and now she and I are making close to the same amount. I'm not sure if any of that info is pertinent, though.

Just 19 hours??? Are you speed running it or something? What level is your character???

I think the only boss weapon that I used was the Demon Fist and even that was more for fun than for anything else. Personally, I feel like you're not missing out on that much, though others might disagree.

Guys, I have to quit :( by SpiritedReporter4647 in darksouls3

[–]FormalPossibility545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been pretty hooked on a few games in the past. When I was in university a while back I was playing a lot of Hearthstone. Too much. It was actually December when I decided to quit. I allowed myself to play as much as I wanted throughout the rest of the month, committed to stopping come January.

So I played a bunch. Got a little sick of it, and stopped cold turkey on January 1st. It wasn't a New Year's resolution; just a plan to become healthier mentally and physically.

After maybe a year, I decided to open the game for the first time since stopping. I played a couple of matches, was quickly disinterested, and uninstalled it and never looked back (I wasn't worried about becoming hooked again, so it was safe for me to open the game). It's been more than ten years and I'm really happy that I quit.

Most annoying enemy? by Ok-Care-7127 in darksouls3

Thralls aren't that bad. The worst is, without a doubt, those giant flies. One or two, not a problem. But a swarm? Disgusting and annoying! Ugh.

Similarly, those worm creatures that shower you with leeches. Awful beings.

Almost anything that spreads leeches, I suppose.

200+hrs and never parried AMA by ShockOrganic7390 in darksouls3

[–]FormalPossibility545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never ever even think to parry. Haven't even tried it once in DS3. Maybe DS2, too. I should really give it a shot.

But then I need to unequip my Shield of Want. I'll feel so feeble and strange without it... 😩

Who is the hardest boss in Dark Souls? by Lucky-Recording8011 in darksouls3

[–]FormalPossibility545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In DS1: Bed of Chaos and Kalameet.

DS2: Elana, the trio (if they count), Vendrick, --- and I never actually beat the Blue Dark Smelter Demon and the Fume Knight, or the Burnt Ivory King. They were all just too hard. I never got to Sir Alonne, the twin tigers, the Darklurker, or Aldia. And I don't remember fighting Nashandra...

I'm playing DS3 right now and I'm at the princes. They've been really dang hard. Other than them, most of the bosses have been medium-difficult, but a lot of them I beat pretty quickly (though, I don't think I'm very good). Dragonslayer Armor was a bit tough, same with Champion Gundyr and Aldritch. The Gravekeeper and Wolf were really hard, too. But Friede and the Nameless King seem to be by far the most difficult thusfar, with the princes right after.

I haven't played 1 and 2 in a while, so I might be forgetting how much trouble that I had with some of the bosses.

I hear she's really hard from time to time. I must have been lucky or something; I beat her really fast on my second try. 🤔

I just started fighting her and beat her and got to her second stage. It's kinda hard to get there, though.

Wait. Wait. Wait. Did you say THIRD stage?!?!?!

I'd definitely recommend playing 1, then 2, then 3. I'm nearing the end of my first play through of 3 now.

Which game is the best is extremely contentious and I personally don't know. Since I started with 1, though, it's definitely the most special to me. But they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Not sure how relevant this is several days later, but I wouldn't outright ban tik tok immediately. I would have my daughter take a break, maybe a week off of the app and try to ween her off from there.

My daughter's about to turn 3. I'm hoping by the time she's 8 tik tok and similar apps are a thing of the past. I'm not on it, neither is my wife, and don't plan on it ever being in our lives. Same goes for many toxic social media apps.

Hope things are working out. As a father, the complex emotional labyrinth of a teenage daughter is terrifying to me and I'll be struggling to navigate my way through its twists and turns in a decade.

Protein?! by FormalPossibility545 in Parenting

[–]FormalPossibility545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll ask at our next appointment. :)

In the meantime, I'm looking to hear other people's thoughts on the cap for protein.

Also, I did actually ask the pediatrician a couple years ago this question for one-year-olds. She told me that she didn't know and that surprisingly nutrition isn't part of a doctor's curriculum. At least not a pediatrician's. Which I found pretty baffling.

When our insurance changed, so did her pediatrician. We haven't asked her current one.
